FV Cup 2018 results

FV Cup 2018 is taking place this weekend in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This is a stop both on the Capcom Pro Tour and the Tekken World Tour, so competitors from across all of Asia have shown up to try and grab some points for their respective game tour.

With 80 registered entrants for Street Fighter 5, 53 for Tekken 7 and also notably 56 for Dragon Ball FighterZ, there's going to be a lot of fighting going on this weekend.

Besides these three titles, you'll also see tournament play in King of Fighters 14, Injustice 2, Guilty Gear Xrd: REV 2, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

Capcom Pro Tour Europe West Online Event #2 results

It's time again to enjoy some matches from the online portion of the Capcom Pro Tour.

This time, it's the second event for the Western region of Europe, meaning that the eligible areas are Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, France and Italy.

There are 150 people signed up to fight it out tomorrow, including myself, so let's enjoy the event and root for me not going 0-2.

ELEAGUE Street Fighter 5 Invitational 2018 results

Update: This story has been updated with the results for the ELEAGUE Street Fighter 5 2018 Invitational.

After a long wait, the ELEAGUE Street Fighter 5 invitational is back again this year.

It's a huge one, as usual, with a gargantuan $250,000 prize pool on the line for the invited players. 1st scores $150,000, 2nd $40,000, 3rd $20,000, 4th $12,000, 5-6th $5,000, 7-8th $3,000, 9-16th $1,000, and 17-24th $500.

This is a continuous event, and group play will be taking place with one group at a time on the first four Fridays of June, culminating in a final playoff bracket on July 13th.

The players participating have been known for a while, but here's a refresher on who you'll get to see in action - FOX|Tokido, PG|Infiltration, FOX|Punk, CYG|Daigo, Rise|MenaRD, FD|Fujimura, NuckleDu, Mouz|Problem X, NVD|Phenom, CYG|Fuudo, RB|Luffy, FOX|Justin Wong, CO|Dogura, FD|Haitani, FOX|Momochi, F3|Brolynho, Rise|Smug, RB|Snake Eyez, Filipino Champ, ALG|801 Strider, SB|JB, CYG|PR Balrog, Commander Jesse and Idom.

The players will fight within their 6-man groups in a round robin format first-to-2 setting, which determines seeding for a double elimination bracket for the six group participants, from which only two will advance to the final bracket in July.

Viennality 2018 results

This weekend, Viennality is taking place in Vienna, Austria.

The big deal at this event is Injustice 2, of which it's a spot on the Injustice 2 Pro Series circuit, making it a landmark event.

Besides that, the event will also feature Dragon Ball FighterZ, Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, Mortal Kombat XL, Skullgirls: 2nd Encore, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.

This weekend, Sonic Boom 2018 is taking place in Madrid, Spain.

It's a Capcom Pro Tour event, so points are on the line.

Abuget Cup 2018 results

Abuget Cup is taking place this weekend in Jakarta, Indonesia.

It's a Capcom Pro Tour ranking event and a Tekken World Tour challenger event, with over 100 entrants for Tekken and over 60 for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, with both being very stacked with skillful players vying for the tour points.

Besides this, there will also be a Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament at the event.

Capcom Pro Tour North America West Online Event #2 results

There's another online portion of the Capcom Pro Tour taking place this weekend.

This is the second online event in the Western North America region.

As such, the eligible areas are Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Oregon, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

115 people are participating, so there are going to be a lot of matches going on.

Players set to compete include CYG|Chris Tatarian, Tempo|Alex Myers, LPN, Flash, CYG|PR Balrog, Commander Jesse. ITS|Pnoy, Hsien, XSK Samurai, ChrisCCH, Brenttiscool, but of course also many, many more.

CEO 2018 results

CEO 2018 is upon us, and there are a ton of games being played at the event.

With over 3000 people attending, there's barely any point in listing all the notable players you might see, but if you want a closer look at who's showing up, make sure to check our tournament preview from yesterday.

This is a Capcom Pro Tour Premier event for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition at the Capcom Pro Tour, a Master event for the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour, a Master event for the Tekken World Tour and a Premier event for the Injustice 2 Pro Series.

Besides these games, the event will also be hosting Super Smash Bros. 4, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Under Night In-Birth EXE: Late[st], Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Killer Instinct, King of Fighters 14 and Capcom vs. SNK 2.

On top of this, the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be playable at the event, so there's likely to be ample gameplay from that extremely hyped game, and there will also be exhibition events for the upcoming Soul Calibur 6 and the recently released Fighting EX Layer.

Nakano Street Battle 3 results

Today, there's a one-day event taking place in Nakano, Japan.

The Nakano Street Battle is back with its third installment, and it will be featuring Street Fighter 5 and Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The winner of this event will get a flight to the Esports Festival Hong Kong in August, a Capcom Pro Tour premier event, paid for by AtlasBear.

Obviously, with CEO going on this weekend, a lot of Japanese players will be MIA from the event, but many unsponsored fighters are showing up to try and get to the end, including Trashbox, Nishikin, Yossan, Reiketsu, Iori, Sawasama, Inuchiyo, Youshikibi, Ooitajin, Initial Kyouso and many more.

With almost 100 of Japan's lesser known top competitors fighting, you might get to see some matches you weren't counting on, so make sure to tune on.

Northwest Majors X results

Northwest Majors X is taking place this weekend in Tukwila, Washington.

This is a Ranking Event for the Capcom Pro Tour, so with points on the line, the competition is bound to get heated.

Of course, there are other games besides Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition being played as well. The event will feature Tekken 7, Dragon Ball FighterZ, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo, Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers), Guilty Gear Xrd: REV 2 and Skullgirls: 2nd Encore.

With the four main games boasting over 50 entrants each, there's going to be a lot of hype gameplay to enjoy from the event.

2GG Hyrule Saga results

The 2GG events are back, and bigger than ever.

This weekend, 2GG: Hyrule Saga will be taking place in Long Beach, California.

This is an event which focuses mainly on Super Smash Bros. 4 which will have both Singles and Doubles competitions, but there will also be tournament play for ARMS and Rivals of Aether.

Arkham Digital Fighting Tournament results

This weekend, another Tekken World Tour event is taking place.

This time, the stage of battle moves to Barcelona for the Arkham Digital Fighting Tournament.

Although Tekken 7 is the main event, there will also be tournament play in Dragon Ball FighterZ, Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, King of Fighters 14, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and BlazBlue: Central Fiction.

Capcom Pro Tour Asia East Online One results

The online portion of the Capcom Pro Tour is still going strong.

Today, the first part of the Asia East portion of the online tour is starting.

For this event, the eligible regions are Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.

As one might expect, this particular online event is filled with beasts, with almost 140 players attending.

Among them, you'll find names such as CYG|Fuudo, Liquid|Nemo, UYU|NL, UYU|OilKing, Gachhikun, RB|Bonchan, DNG|Itabashi Zangief, GGP|Kazunoko, FOX|Momochi, Ponos|Moke, CO|Go1, FAV|Sako, Liquid|John Takeuchi, Mago, CYG|GamerBee, AB|StormKubo, AB|Poongko, Machabo, Talon|Xiaobao and of course many more beyond them.

Taiwan is having their very own Challenger Event on the Tekken World Tour.

This is a one-day shindig, so tune in today and stay until the end for some top-level Tekken matches streamed for your enjoyment.

Players from all across Asia are gathering to get some of those points in the hopes of qualifying for the Tekken World Tour finals later this year.

Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 results ft. ZeRo, Armada, Mango, MKLeo, Abadango, Plup, Mr. R and Lucky

Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 has finished up now. It featured the unreleased Super Smash Bros. Ultimate title on Nintendo Switch.

There were a total of eight players who will be competing at this invitational. They are TSM|ZeRo, Alliance|Armada, C9|Mango, FOX|MKLeo, Abadango, PG|Plup, BC|Mr. R and DIG|Lucky.

An even mix of Melee and Smash 4 players were invited, with ZeRo, MKLeo, Abadango and Mr. R primarily being known for the latter title, while Armada, Mango, Plup and Lucky are better known for Melee.

The tournament is a double elimination format, with round one or winners and losers bracket starting off as a 2v2 affair. The tournament will then transition into a 1v1 format, but will have some free for all exhibitions mixed in between sets.

Players have a roster of three characters to use throughout the tournament. Once a player has used a character, that fighter is ineligible until the other characters have been played in a game. Once all three characters have been played, the character selection choices reset.

This version of Smash Ultimate is the E3 2018 build of the game, so there are only about 30 characters available out of the 65 currently announced. According to Sakurai, the pro players have had very little time with the new game before this competition got started.

Summit of Power results ft. Go1, SonicFox, Dogura, ChrisG, HookGangGod

After a long wait, the Summit of Power will finally be taking place.

The event will feature extended group play for the players to decide what the final bracket will look like, as well as a 3v3 event where players will team up and battle it out.

Of course, it's not a Summit event without fun side-games, and you will be able to enjoy Mafia, Jenga and a Mystery Game Tournament we don't know yet what to expect from.

Through invitations, various qualifiers as well as a voting-based system, many players have done their best to get a spot, and it's been a long road, but we're down to the 16 chosen competitors.

The 16 players you will see living together and fighting together are CO|Go1, FOX|SonicFox, CO|Dogura, EG|NYChrisG, NRG|HookGangGod, TSM|Leffen, UYU|Cloud805, PG|Nakkiel, Ponos|Moke, FOX|Dekillsage, GGP|Kazunoko, CO|Fenrich, CLN|Yohosie, LordKnight, Reynald and ApologyMan.

This weekend, The Fight 2018 is taking place in Bogotá, Colombia.

This is a Ranking Event for the Capcom Pro Tour, so with points on the line a lot of Latin America's fighters are showing up.

Besides Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, this event will also feature tournament play for King of Fighters 14, Super Smash Bros. 4, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Pokkén Tournament DX, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Tekken 7 and Injustice 2.

Players attending are plentiful, and just a few names you'll be seeing this weekend are Rise|MenaRD, F3|Brolynho, iG|Jiewa, Rise|Caba, SB|DoomSnake, Flash, Furia|HKDash, Kusanagi, Umbrella|Dark, Fuego|ElTigre and AAG|BabyBrasil.

There are around 70 entrants for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, so there will undoubtedly be a lot of matches on stream for your viewing pleasure during the event.
