VS Fighting 2017 results ft. JDCR, Saint, Xian, Luffy

Fighting game action is going on all across the globe this weekend - for European viewers, the most time-zone friendly option is obviously VS Fighting 2017, which takes place in Birmingham, UK.

This tournament is a big deal for several games, as it's a Master event for the Tekken World Tour, a Premier event for the Injustice 2 Pro Series and a Ranking event for the Capcom Pro Tour.

A bunch of stellar competitors from all across the world have decided to show up, so the local talent definitely have their work cut out for them.

You can expect to see FOX|JDCR, FOX|Saint, RZR|Xian, RB|Luffy, Mouz|Problem X, Rogue|Slayer, Method|Packz, MD|MisterCrimson, Infused|ImStillDaDaddy, NASR|TekkenMaster, RNG|Whiteboi, Method|Cobelcog, Biohazard, Epsilon|Takamura, PxP|A Foxy Grampa, TDG|Fergus, PND|Madzin, Aris|Nivek, Infused|Afii, Epsilon|Brick, Prophecy|Shivryuken, Infused|Shakz and many more fighting for the points in their game of choice.

Besides the three aforementioned games, the tournament also hosts Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Killer Instinct and Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo.

Japan Cup 2017 results ft. Daigo, Fuudo, Nemo, MOV, Infiltration

It's been a while, but it's finally time for another Capcom Pro Tour Premier event.

This time, the stage happens to be in Tokyo, Japan, known as perhaps the strongest area in the world as far as fighting games go, so you can expect a lot of top level matches to occur during these next two days.

Although it's purely a Street Fighter 5 event, there will also be a 5v5 team tournament, so keep your eyes open for that as well.

Players set to compete in the tournament are GRPT|Fuudo, CYG|Daigo, AW|Nemo, GRPT|MOV, RZR|Infiltration, GRPT|Haitani, CO|Dogura, GGP|Kazunoko, CO|Go1, YouDeal|Yukadon, DNG|Itabashi Zangief, Moke, Talon|Xiaobao, /r/Kappa|Poongko, Gachikun, Mago, XYZZY, Scarz|sako, GW|Eita, GFuel|Verloren, YBK|Daikokugo, John Takeuchi, Reiketsu, MF|Tonpy and, of course, many more.

There are over 300 players participating in the event, so the fight for points is going to be fierce to say the least. Make sure not to miss any of the streamed matches to get the full experience.

Fight in Rio 2017 results ft. Brolynho, Dark, Tubarao, Keoma

Fighters from across Central and Southern America are looking to gather this weekend in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the aptly-named Fight in Rio 2017.

This is a Capcom Pro Tour ranking event, so CPT points are on the line. It's also one of the biggest Latin America fighting game events.

Besides Street Fighter 5, the event will also be hosting tournaments in Injustice 2, King of Fighters 14, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Tekken 7 and Karnov's Revenge.

Viennality 2017 results ft. SonicFox, Dragon, Whiteboi, TekkenMaster

Big stakes for Injustice 2 players this weekend in Vienna, Austria, as Viennality 2017 is taking place.

With a pot of $20,000, there's obviously a lot of the line for all the players participating.

Even though Injustice 2 is the main event, other games are also being played in tournament, including Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and Mortal Kombat XL, with each of the games having a €500 pot bonus.

A lot of heavy hitters showed up, including FOX|SonicFox, Noble|Dragon, RNG|Whiteboi, NASR|TekkenMaster, FOX|Theo, A Foxy Grampa, Circa|ForeverKing, cR|Biohazard, Rogue|Slayer, RZR|Xian and more.

Streaming is being done at NetherRealm and Viennality.

Injustice 2 has 63 entrants battling it out for the money, so there are a lot of fighters vying for the top spot.

Fight Club NRW 8 results ft. Daigo, Phenom, Luffy, Ryan Hart

Fight Club NRW 8 is taking place this weekend in Cologne, Germany.

This is another stop on the European branch of the Capcom Pro Tour, so you can expect most of this region's heavy hitters to be attending.

Although Street Fighter 5 is the main event, there will also be tournaments in King of Fighters 14, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and BlazBlue: Central Fiction.

Players attending include, but are not limited to, CYG|Daigo, BX3|Phenom, RB|Luffy, Ryan Hart, MD|MisterCrimson, PandaTV|Dark Jiewa, Method|Cobelcog, Method|Packz, Mouz|Problem X, Millénium|Will2Pac, Epsilon|Brick, Epsilon|Atrosh and Infused|Afii.

Tekken World Tour Korean Master Event results ft. JDCR, Saint, Knee, Nobi

Of all the stops on the Tekken World Tour, this could very well be the most exciting.

It's no secret that South Korea are true masters of Bandai-Namco's premiere fighting game, and this weekend will show some of the fiercest competition around battling it out in Tekken 7 in South Korea's capital city of Seoul.

Of course, just because it's a Korean event, that doesn't mean that other people aren't showing up to fight for the glory. Many other top players from across Asia, and other regions as well, have shown up to try and reach the top.

DreamHack Atlanta 2017 results ft Salem, ZeRo, Hungrybox, Punk, Nairo

This weekend, you can count on seeing some top-level Super Smash Bros. action, as DreamHack Atlanta is upon us, with $10,000 on the line for both Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Of course, these aren't the only games being played. Street Fighter 5 also has a $5,000 prize pool, while Tekken 7 and Injustice 2 have $2,500 each.

This is also a stop on the Tekken World Tour, so as expected, most of North America's top players have decided to show up.

This week, the fourth European event is taking place, with several of last event's top 8 placers coming back to try and grab more points.

At this event, you can expect to see RASS, SunMate, IND|Shady, DrGulag and a bunch of others players fight it out.

The eligible regions for this event are Latvia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Romania, Lithuania, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Ukraine and Greece.

SFV x SSBM Showdown results ft. Tokido, Hungrybox, Punk, Mango

Even though EVO 2017 just ended, we've got more action going on this week, and on a Tuesday of all days, no less.

Today, HyperX are presenting a somewhat odd event, namely a show match in Nintendo Switch's new unique fighting game ARMS between seasoned pros from two of the biggest fighting games right now - Street Fighter 5 and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

This event features 14 invited players, as well as 2 unannounced special guests we will presumably be introduced to when the stream starts.

The players invited are FOX|Tokido, Liquid|Hungrybox, PG|Punk, C9|Mango, FOX|Momochi, CYG|Daigo, FOX|Mew2King, TSM|Leffen, FOX|Justin Wong, G2|Westballz, RB|Snake Eyez, CYG|PR Balrog, Liquid|ChuDat, Liquid|Ken, Liquid|Chillin and FOX|ChocoBlanka.

Although the only announced happening so far is the ARMS showmatch, it was also said that we'll get to see matches in "fan voted game modes" and "pro gamer game crossovers" - can anyone say Melee Doubles with Tokido and Hungrybox?

EVO 2017 results ft. NuckleDu, JDCR, Armada, SonicFox, ChrisG, Xiao Hai

The biggest fighting game tournament of the year is upon us once more as the weekend of EVO 2017 dawns.

This huge event has multiple games with over 1000 entrants, so the weekend will be packed to the brim with action across several popular titles.

There are too many players attending to even list the notable ones - byou can basically assume that anyone who's anyone, in any given title being played, will be there, with very few exceptions.

The official game lineup this year consists of Street Fighter 5, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tekken 7, Injustice 2, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, BlazBlue: Central Fiction and King of Fighters 14.

Besides this, there will also be multiple side tournaments, including the AnimEVO side event, which will feature a bunch of different games which you can all find in our schedules at the bottom of the story.

Streaming for the main event will be done at EVO, EVO 1, EVO 2, EVO 3, EVO 4, EVO 5, Capcom Fighters, NetherRealm and Tekken.

AnimEVO side streams include Numakie, The Brett, Ghoul02, Nick Cool 1996, Sharonasaurus X and Dark and Ark. You can also expect a tournament to be played in the upcoming Dragonball FighterZ at Bandai Namco US, the schedule for which can be found here.

There's going to be some big Super Smash Bros. Melee action going on today in Northern California, with Genesis: Red taking place.

This is just a one-day event, so once it starts, it'll be going until the champions have been decided.

As is customary with Super Smash Bros. events, this tournament will feature both Singles and Doubles events.

Notable players attending include TSM|Leffen, CLG|SFAT, IMT|Shroomed, LG|Ice, CLG|PewPewU, Tempo|S2J, SPY|Nintendude, Liquid|ChuDat, DizzKidBoogie, Selfless|HugS, Laudandus, Liquid|Chillin and more.

Although it's a one-day thing, don't expect it to be small-time. The Singles tournament has 256 entrants, and there are 60 teams participating in Doubles.
