Tokyo Tekken Masters results ft. Saint, Nobi, Take, Knee

Probably the biggest event this weekend as far as Tekken goes is this one, which as the name suggests takes place in Tokyo.

This is a Master event for the Tekken World Tour, so players aiming for that big money at the end of the circuit have their eyes set on this one.

Several of Asia's finest Tekken players have chosen to show up, including FOX|Saint, Yamasa|Nobi, Yamasa|Take, Knee, NOROMA, Chanel, Kkokkoma, Yamasa|Yuu, KuroKuro, Pekos, AK, CO|Tanukana, LiliMan and many more.

Over 140 players are partaking, so this is a big gathering of top level players for you to enjoy watching.

Even better from a spectator standpoint is that this is a one-day event - meaning that once it begins, it goes on until the very end, so just tune in right away and stick around for maximum Tekken viewage.

Capcom Pro Tour Online Asia Four results ft Haitani, Tokido, Fuudo, Momochi

The online portion of the Capcom Pro Tour is almost over, but not before this fourth stop in the Asian region.

In this particular event, the eligible reasons are Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.

With these particular areas in the running, the competition is obviously through the roof, so you can expect to see most of Asian's absolute top players battle it out.

With 140 people attending, it's going to be a truly fierce battle for all of these champions to make it to the very end, though unfortunately most of that has already taken place off-stream.

Gfinity Elite Series results ft. Luffy, Packz, ISDD, Akainu, Takamura

The Gfinity Elite Series has been going on every Friday for the last couple of weeks, and it's a team-based league in the UK featuring Street Fighter 5.

The prize pool is as high as £25,000, so there's obviously a lot of incentive for the teams to put forward their best performance.

Players have been drafted by 8 different teams and fight it out every week in pre-determined matches to try and gain as many points as they can.

The roster members aren't any slouches, either, well-known names such as RB|Luffy, Method|Packz, Infused|ImStillDaDaddy, Prophecy|Akainu, Epsilon|Takamura, Method|Cobelcog, exceL|Infexious, Infused|Afii, Epsilon|Brick and Epsilon|Keftaroz are part of various teams' rosters.

Streaming is being done at Gfinity TV, although it's also being broadcast online by BBC 3.

Absolute Battle 8 results ft. SonicFox, Punk, Snake Eyez, Justin Wong

Absolute Battle is back, and as always, it's taking place in Texas.

This event is a big deal for Street Fighter 5 and Tekken 7, since it's part of both the Capcom Pro Tour and the Tekken World Tour, but it's an even bigger deal for Injustice 2, for which it is a Premier Event in the Injustice 2 Pro Series.

Each of these three games are boasting over 100 entrants, so there'll be a lot of matches lined up to be played this weekend.

Although those are the main three games, that doesn't mean there's nothing else to enjoy. You can also look forward to tournament play in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, King of Fighters 14, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Killer Instinct and Pokkén Tournament.

Lima Salty 4 results ft. Brolynho, Misterio, DidimoKOF, Dark

The Latin American FGC is as alive as ever with another Capcom Pro Tour event taking place this weekend.

This time, the battle arena moves to Lima, Peru.

Although Street Fighter 5 is the main game in focus, the event will also feature tournament play in King of Fighters 14, Tekken 7 and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.

Players expected to attend include F3|Brolynho, DM|Misterio, AAG|DidimoKOF, Umbrella|Dark, TSD-GX|Pikoro, F2G|Moise, IF|Darlan and many more.

With around 70 participants in Street Fighter 5, it'll be a rough road to make it to the very end, but I'm sure we'll see some familiar faces of the region's most seasoned warriors in the eventual top 8.

Shine 2017 results ft. ZeRo, Hungrybox, Mango, Salem

It seems like the Super Smash Bros. action never ends, with yet another huge major upon us this weekend.

Shine 2017 is taking place in Boston, Massachusetts, and it's a really big one.

Although the main event is Super Smash Bros. Melee with over 1000 entrants, and Super Smash Bros. Wii U with over 600, a bunch of other games are set to be played as well.

Other games you can expect to see include Super Smash Bros. 64, Brawlhalla, Rivals of Aether, Street Fighter 5, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.

Hong Kong eSports Festival 2017 results ft. Haitani, Daigo, Fuudo, MOV

With the Capcom Pro Tour growing ever closer to its end, players' drive to gather CPT points grows stronger by the minute.

This weekend is particularly high stakes, with the Hong Kong eSports Festival 2017 being a Premier event, taking place in Hong Kong, as the name would suggest.

Since Street Fighter 5 as the only fighting game being played, you're in luck if this happens to be your game of choice. Just tune in and stick around until it ends, with high-level matches the whole way through.

Although a few players opted instead for the high prize money at LAN Story Cup in Shanghai, practically every other player who's anybody from the Asian region is participating here.

LAN Story Cup results ft. Tokido, NuckleDu, Xian, Nemo

Amongst a wide array of big tournament this weekend, here's one that focuses on Street Fighter 5 but is not part of the Capcom Pro Tour in any way.

It's no surprise that players of such a high calibre have opted for this event, though - with $50,000 up for grabs in prize money, the incentive to skip the CPT events going on this weekend is definitely there.

LAN Story Cup is a Street Fighter 5 event taking placae in Shanghai, China, and you'll be able to follow top 16 action right off the bat.

This is because the format of the tournament was to have 8 special players invited, and the other 8 qualified from within China.

The 8 invitees you'll be seeing at this event are definitely players who pack a punch - FOX|Tokido, Liquid|NuckleDu, RZR|Xian, AW|Nemo, BX3|Phenom, DouyuTV|Xiao Hai, RB|Bonchan and DNG|Itabashi Zangief.

The Latin American portion of the Capcom Pro Tour is far from over yet.

This weekend, the aptly named Buenos Aires True Salt is taking place in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Although Street Fighter 5 is the main game, being part of the Capcom Pro Tour and all, the event will also feature King of Fighters 14, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Tekken 7 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Players expected to attend include, but are not limited to, FOX|Justin Wong, KaneBlueRiver, F3|Brolynho, PandaTV|Dark Jiewa, DM|Misterio, GGL|Flash, Umbrella|Dark, TSD|Picoro and F2G|Moise.

2GGC: SCR Saga results ft. ZeRo, MKLeo, Nairo, Ally

Another 2GGC event is upon us, and iwth it comes some truly high level Super Smash Bros. Wii U action.

This time, though, things are a tad bit different. In conjunction with the Level Up Live crew, this entry, entitled SCR Saga, will also feature Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5, Injustice 2 and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.

So even if Super Smash Bros. isn't your series of choice, there'll hopefully be games of interest being played at this event.

With Super Smash Bros. Wii U being the main attraction, though, most of the notable names showing up are from that game, with over 300 entrants in Singles.

This weekend, you can enjoy some high-level Super Smash Bros. Melee action at Heir 4, taking place in Nottinham, UK.

Although a few American players have flown out to partake, this event mainly features European players competing.

If you're not a fan of Super Smash Bros. Melee, then you're out of luck with this particular event since it's focusing squarely on it, with Singles, Doubles and International Crews events.

This weekend, Pokkén Tournament is getting some serious action happening.

The Pokémon World Championships take place today, and Pokkén Tournament is part of it.

Players from across the world have qualified for this event, so various nationalities are represented in the final bracket.

You can expect to see top level talent such as Tonosama, Suicune Master, Thulius, Rasenryu and several more fight it out in this top 16 championship bracket.

The prize pool is $20,000, so you can bet each competitor is hungry for a bigger piece of that pie.

Capcom Pro Tour Online Asia Three results ft. Xian, Marn, MindRPG, Chuan

There's more action in the online portion of the Capcom Pro Tour going down this weekend.

The third Asian qualifier is open to participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Players you can expect to see partake include RZR|Xian, RISE|Marn, TJ|MindRPG, FV|Chuan and many, many more.

Although RZR|Xian already looks pretty locked in for a spot at Capcom Cup, participating in more events is always the best option to secure it.

As has become customary with the online CPT events, only top 8 will be streamed, so make sure to tune in right away to not miss any of the action.

Furia Tica 2017 results ft. Flash, Mono, ElTigre, Gabo

Just to make sure that the Capcom Pro Tour is active in each of its four regions this weekend, there's another CPT event taking place in Costa Rica.

Of course, this event has Capcom Pro Tour points for the Latin American scoreboard on the line.

Furia Tica 2017 will mainly focus on Street Fighter 5, but it'll also tournaments in King of Fighters 14, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and Tekken 7.

Also worth noting is that the King of Fighters 14 tournament is sponsored by SNK KoF World and Yasuyuki Oda, the game's producer, with $600 added to the game's prize.

The biggest Super Smash Bros. event in a while is coming up this weekend, with Super Smash Con 2017 taking place in Chantilly, Virginia.

This event will have Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. 64 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with singles and doubles events for each, as well as a Rivals of Aether tournament.

Fighting game action is going on all across the globe this weekend - for European viewers, the most time-zone friendly option is obviously VS Fighting 2017, which takes place in Birmingham, UK.

This tournament is a big deal for several games, as it's a Master event for the Tekken World Tour, a Premier event for the Injustice 2 Pro Series and a Ranking event for the Capcom Pro Tour.
