DreamHack Atlanta 2017 results ft Salem, ZeRo, Hungrybox, Punk, Nairo

This weekend, you can count on seeing some top-level Super Smash Bros. action, as DreamHack Atlanta is upon us, with $10,000 on the line for both Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Of course, these aren't the only games being played. Street Fighter 5 also has a $5,000 prize pool, while Tekken 7 and Injustice 2 have $2,500 each.

This is also a stop on the Tekken World Tour, so as expected, most of North America's top players have decided to show up.

Capcom Pro Tour Online Europe Four results ft. RASS, SunMate, Shady, DrGulag and more

The online portion of the Capcom Pro Tour marches on.

This week, the fourth European event is taking place, with several of last event's top 8 placers coming back to try and grab more points.

At this event, you can expect to see RASS, SunMate, IND|Shady, DrGulag and a bunch of others players fight it out.

The eligible regions for this event are Latvia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Romania, Lithuania, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Ukraine and Greece.

SFV x SSBM Showdown results ft. Tokido, Hungrybox, Punk, Mango

Even though EVO 2017 just ended, we've got more action going on this week, and on a Tuesday of all days, no less.

Today, HyperX are presenting a somewhat odd event, namely a show match in Nintendo Switch's new unique fighting game ARMS between seasoned pros from two of the biggest fighting games right now - Street Fighter 5 and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

This event features 14 invited players, as well as 2 unannounced special guests we will presumably be introduced to when the stream starts.

The players invited are FOX|Tokido, Liquid|Hungrybox, PG|Punk, C9|Mango, FOX|Momochi, CYG|Daigo, FOX|Mew2King, TSM|Leffen, FOX|Justin Wong, G2|Westballz, RB|Snake Eyez, CYG|PR Balrog, Liquid|ChuDat, Liquid|Ken, Liquid|Chillin and FOX|ChocoBlanka.

Although the only announced happening so far is the ARMS showmatch, it was also said that we'll get to see matches in "fan voted game modes" and "pro gamer game crossovers" - can anyone say Melee Doubles with Tokido and Hungrybox?

EVO 2017 results ft. NuckleDu, JDCR, Armada, SonicFox, ChrisG, Xiao Hai

The biggest fighting game tournament of the year is upon us once more as the weekend of EVO 2017 dawns.

This huge event has multiple games with over 1000 entrants, so the weekend will be packed to the brim with action across several popular titles.

There are too many players attending to even list the notable ones - byou can basically assume that anyone who's anyone, in any given title being played, will be there, with very few exceptions.

The official game lineup this year consists of Street Fighter 5, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tekken 7, Injustice 2, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, BlazBlue: Central Fiction and King of Fighters 14.

Besides this, there will also be multiple side tournaments, including the AnimEVO side event, which will feature a bunch of different games which you can all find in our schedules at the bottom of the story.

Streaming for the main event will be done at EVO, EVO 1, EVO 2, EVO 3, EVO 4, EVO 5, Capcom Fighters, NetherRealm and Tekken.

AnimEVO side streams include Numakie, The Brett, Ghoul02, Nick Cool 1996, Sharonasaurus X and Dark and Ark. You can also expect a tournament to be played in the upcoming Dragonball FighterZ at Bandai Namco US, the schedule for which can be found here.

Genesis Red results ft. Leffen, SFAT, Shroomed, Ice

There's going to be some big Super Smash Bros. Melee action going on today in Northern California, with Genesis: Red taking place.

This is just a one-day event, so once it starts, it'll be going until the champions have been decided.

As is customary with Super Smash Bros. events, this tournament will feature both Singles and Doubles events.

Notable players attending include TSM|Leffen, CLG|SFAT, IMT|Shroomed, LG|Ice, CLG|PewPewU, Tempo|S2J, SPY|Nintendude, Liquid|ChuDat, DizzKidBoogie, Selfless|HugS, Laudandus, Liquid|Chillin and more.

Although it's a one-day thing, don't expect it to be small-time. The Singles tournament has 256 entrants, and there are 60 teams participating in Doubles.

2GGC: ARMS Saga results ft. ZeRo, Dabuz, Larry Lurr, Komorikiri

The 2GGC series has yet another entry this month, and this time, you can count on seeing more than just Super Smash Bros. Wii U being played.

That's right, Nintendo's new powerhouse ARMS is being added to the roster. If you're interested in seeing whether there's any competitive value to this brawler, it's time to tune in now.

Besides the addition of ARMS, the event will of course still feature Singles and Doubles tournaments in Super Smash Bros. Wii U.

Players attending include TSM|ZeRo, RNG|Dabuz, MSF|Larry Lurr, Mr. R, 2GG|Komorikiri, LG|Abadango, CLG|VoiD, P1|Tweek, 2GG|Ranai, DNG|Kameme, CLG|Nakat, KEN, Locus and many more.

This is the last tournament before EVO rolls around, so this'll be a good opportunity to see who's looking strong going into the massive juggernaut event next weekend.

REV Major 2017 results ft. JDCR, Nobi, Saint, Take

This weekend, we've got even more action going on in the eastern parts of the world - namely, in Philippines.

REV Major 2017 is a big fighting game event featuring a bunch of different games being played at high level.

You can expect to see tournaments in Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, King of Fighters 14, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Injustice 2 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Although there are several games, the game with the fiercest competition is definitely Tekken 7, for which this event is a Tekken World Tour qualifier on the Asian circuit.

Several of Korea and Japan's strongest are in attendance, including FOX|JDCR, Yamasa|Nobi, FOX|Saint, Yamasa|Take, Knee, Yamasa|Yuu, KuroKuro, CO|Tanukana and many more from other regions of Asia.

Streaming is being handled by Tekken and Playbook PH.

Capcom Pro Tour Online Latin America Four results ft. Brolynho, Keoma, Dark, DidimoKOF

There's even more online CPT action going on today, with the fourth Latin American qualifier taking place.

Regions eligible for today's qualifier are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Venezuela, Peru and Uruguay.

This event could potentially hold the runback of last year's dramatic set between i9|Keoma and Umbrella|Dark, but that remains to be seen.

Players partaking include, but are not limited to, F3|Brolynho, i9|Keoma, Umbrella|Dark, AAG|DidimoKOF, AAG|BabyBrasil, PauloWeb and Umbrella|HKDash.

After XL|Infexious' victory earlier today at the European online qualifier, it'll be exciting to see who makes it to the end on the other side of the world.

Capcom Pro Tour Online Europe Three results ft. Luffy, Problem X, Packz, Mister Crimson

The online entries of the Capcom Pro Tour continue, with the third European event happening today.

Eligible regions for today's event are Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, France, Italy.

The winner of the last CPT event in this region, RB|Luffy, is back to try and score a repeat, but the road to the end will be anything but easy.

Besides RB|Luffy, players participating include Mouz|Problem X, Method|Packz, MD|Mister Crimson, DA|ImStillDaDaddy, Prophecy|Akainu, Infused|Afii, Layo, Infused|Shakz, Epsilon|Takamura and many more.

As the name would suggest, this event takes place in Vancouver, Canada.

Thaiger Uppercut 2017 is taking place this weekend in Bangkok, Thailand.

A bunch of Asia's top players have shown up to the event, which will be featuring not just a Capcom Pro Tour Ranking event for Street Fighter 5, but will also have tournament play in Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, King of Fighters 14 and Injustice 2.

Players expected to attend the event include RZR|Xian, FOX|Tokido, FOX|JDCR, FOX|Saint, RB|Bonchan, FOX|Momochi, Mago, GGP|Kazunoko, YAMASA|Nobi, DouyuTV|Xiao Hai, BST|Daigo, ZW|GamerBee, ZW|OilKing, SZ|Sako, YAMASA|Yuu, CO|Go1, Flash, RISE|Marn, GetNews|Pekos, YBK|Daikokugo, PandaTV|Dark Jiewa, CO|Tanukana, FV|Chuan, Leslie, TJ|MindRPG and many more.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U also has its own event this weekend in Midwest Mayhem 9: Old vs. New.

This is a one-day event taking place in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

While Super Smash Bros. Wii U is definitely the main attraction, Midwest Mayhem 9 will also feature tournament play in Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5 and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.

Some of the notable players set to attend are TSM|ZeRo, NRG|Nairo, P1|Tweek, P1|CaptainZack, EG|Zinoto, Ryuga, E2C|DarkShad, JJRockets and E2C|TyRoy.

Streaming will be done at Events2Compete.

The Capcom Pro Tour online series hosted another tournament recently, Asia/Oceania Two, which was a ranking event.

There were some absolute killers in attendance, including CYG|Daigo Umehara, FOX|Tokido, RB|Bonchan, AW|Nemo, GRPT|Fuudo, GGP|Kazunoko, GRPT|Haitani, Scarz|Sako, FOX|Momochi, CO|Go1, Poongko, Itabashi Zangief, YouDeal|Yukadon, CO|Dogura, Zowie|Oil King, GRPT|MOV, NL, Mishie, Xyzzy, GW|Eita, Talon|Xiaobao and John Takeuchi.

When all was said and done, 171 entrants signed up for Street Fighter 5, and some terrific players didn't even make it out of pools.

One of the biggest fighting game tournaments in the world kicks off today, Community Effort Orlando, better known as CEO.

The competition will take place in Orlando, Florida, and is scheduled to attract some of the world's best fighting game players.

This is a premiere Capcom Pro Tour event for Street Fighter 5, and part of Injustice 2 pro series and Tekken World Tour.

DreamHack Summer 2017 is going down this weekend in Jönköping, Sweden.

The main FGC tournament games are Street Fighter 5, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pokken Tournament. This is also a Capcom Pro Tour premier event.

Capcom Pro Tour ranking online event: North America 2 results featuring Dieminion, Flash, Brian_F, CJ Truth, Mike&Ike and more

Yet another online Ranking event has played out on the Capcom Pro Tour.

The second North American bout, featuring players from eastern United States as well as Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, have crowned a champion.

Rage Vol. 4 Grand Finals results feat. Nemo, Fuudo, Haitani, Momochi, Itabashi Zangief

The Rage vol. 4 Street Fighter 5 grand finals are currently taking place at Bellesalle Takadanobaba in Shinjuku, Japan. This is one of the first major 2.5 tournaments for SF5.

The 8 players participating in the Rage vol. 4 grand finals are AW|Nemo, GRPT|Fuudo, GRPT|Haitani, FOX|Momochi, DNG|Itabashi Zangief, Kichipa-mu, Ponzaman and Mishie.

There is roughly about $27,000 in prize money on the line at this event.

The amounts come out to roughly $18,000 for 1st place, $4,500 for 2nd place, $1,350 for 3rd and 4th places, and $450 for 5th through 8th places, all amounts in USD.
