Roy wins this MU even after Ike's buffs in patch 8.0.0

While Ike has better range than Roy the latter has faster mobility especially on the ground and faster frame data overall. Ike can't space very well against Roy due to Roy's fast speed, Roy's nair, bair and uair come out faster than Ike nair and fair and aether is too slow to punish Roy's safe moves. Roy's Double Edge Dance launches Ike off stage for an edge guard, he can counter Ike's aether or quick draw to stop his recovery, Ike's smash attacks are slow and have high ending lag if whiffed can leave Ike open to Roy's forward smash and blazer can punish Ike's dash attack on shield and Ike is easy to combo, also Roy's fully charged flare blade is more powerful than Ike's fully charged eruption. However Ike no longer has a frame 7 jumpsquat from Smash 4, while aether and quick draw can be countered, Roy has to be careful of aether off stage you never want to be spiked and die when Ike has a stock lead or either Ike grabs the ledge, and quick draw's timing can be unpredictable, also Roy has to be careful of Ike's up smash, forward smash, dash attack and aether in the air and the latter two are more powerful since patch 8.0.0, however Ike's late nair since patch 8.0.0 is smaller which helps Roy space better against Ike.

Overall Roy's faster frame data, counter to edge guard Ike well and powerful close range game give him the advantage in this MU but Ike's long range and powerful moves is something to be cautious of.

My vote Ike 4 / Roy 6
