Fox wins this MU even after Lucario was buffed in patch 9.0.0

Fox has better frame data and ground mobility than Lucario overall,Fox can use blaster to rack up damage at very long range and Fox's shine can reflect Lucario's aura sphere and Fox's up Smash and Forward Smash are stronger than in Smash 4 and with run cancelling in Ultimate the latter is easier to land combined with Lucario being lighter give Fox an easier time Killing Lucario. At high percents aura sphere is very risky to use because Fox can reflect aura sphere and kill Lucario. With Fox's fast speed allows him to punish Lucario's moves well and Fox dash attack combos better than in Smash 4 with its lower ending lag. However Fox's throws are too weak to kill so if Lucario shields a lot could survive to use high aura and Fox is also lighter than in Smash 4 so high aura bair can kill very early and Fox's up smash is very punishable.

Overall Fox's reflector, faster frame data and fast kill options give him the advantage against Lucario like in Brawl and Smash 4.
