Samus vs. Sheik Super Smash Bros. Brawl tiers, match-up votes and discussion

Both Samus and Sheik are notable for being unreliable at killing, but Sheik easily wins because the damage racking in this matchup significantly favors her. Sheik's forward tilt easily knocks Samus into the air, though because she is floaty, Sheik can't lock her inside for very long. What she can do, however, is combo it into up air, which is a bastard of a move to fight as Samus. Combine that with Needle Storm and trying to get down against Sheik as Samus requires luck or outplaying Sheik. While Samus' recovery is better than Sheik's, Sheik gives Samus a harder time when the latter is offstage, since forward air, aerial needles, and back air all guarantee that Samus will take damage when she has to recover. Sheik ducks low enough to make it annoying to hit her with Grapple Beam, while her neutral air is, like Fox's, disjointed enough to block Missiles. It comes down to a matchup that isn't pretty to watch, though that can be said for quite a few of Sheik's advantageous matchups (Fox, Wolf, Captain Falcon, and especially Ganondorf).
