This is one of Peach's better matchups.
Peach wins the neutral. Her combination of Turnips and float canceled aerials make it a chore for Lucas to zone her out, compounded further by his lack of options to deal with Peach's shield pressure. What makes the Tazmily youth's approach even worse is that if he gets grabbed on the ground, then Peach can ground release him and then regrab him indefinitely. In other words, with properly timed grabs, Peach can take Lucas from one side of the stage to the other, racking up plenty of damage. Since Lucas and Ness receive 10 extra frames of lag when grab released, and Peach's is fast enough, they cannot escape unless Peach trips or accidentally air releases. Lucas trades Ness's great kit of aerials for a recovery that is slightly more difficult for Peach to gimp, since he has Zap Jump, Magnet Pull, and a zair. He still cannot do much at the ledge because his generally short-duration aerials will incur hitlag from incoming Turnips. This allows the Princess to float in and bash him back out. Lucas's edge guarding is considerably worse: PK Thunder 1 takes too long to get Peach if she recovers low, and the priority on her Parasol will abort his aerials. While a careless Peach will simply float low and thus leave herself open to a back air, professional Peaches will use her specials to mix up her positioning. Again, Lucas has a difficult time trying to hit her unless he commits to baits and reads.
In summary, this matchup is 3/7 because:
-Peach's floating aerials negate Lucas's zoning and prey on his poor ability to counter shield pressure
-Her grab is fast enough to take advantage of the boy's grab release flaw
-He gets almost annihilated in recovery and edge guarding against her.
