Due to their short range, the Ice Climbers get outranged by Plasma Whip, which also functions as a KO move. Zero Suit Samus's aerial game is also superior to the Ice Climbers' own, with many of them being wonderful options to keep the Ice Climbers separated. Zero Suit Samus's ground game, however, is rather poor against the Ice Climbers, since many of her otherwise good moves against them are easily punished by a grab. Zero Suit Samus will by all means have to use Plasma Whip in this matchup, for it beats out many of the Ice Climber's neutral options. Since it is so effective at doing that, however, I have to hand this matchup to her.

Another thing I forgot to mention was Power Suit Pieces. Their strength makes them an excellent accompaniment to Plasma Whip, as it allows Zero Suit Samus to use the latter to put them into shieldstun, then throw a Piece at Nana to knock her away and thus lead to another Plasma Whip. Zero Suit Samus also gives the Ice Climbers a pretty hard time offstage, since her wall jump means that it's difficult for them to hedgehog her. Her down smash, Power Suit Pieces, and aerials also make good ledge traps against the Ice Climbers as well.
