If Wario is grounded, Mewtwo's down tilt and Shadow Balls keep him out. If Wario jumps, Mewtwo can space fair and spam nair and Wario can't contest with their range. They combo each other reasonably, but because of the range factor, Mewtwo has a decisive advantage in neutral. Thus, killing and damage racking generally favor it, since Mewtwo never has to approach Wario, and can thus really capitalize on bad approaches from Wario. Wario mains collectively believe that Mewtwo is one of their worst matchups, next to Bayonetta, Cloud, and Sonic.
A lot of Wario's matchups on this site desperately need to be re-evaluated.
There's just no way Wario is so disadvantageous against Mewtwo and other mid-low tier to bottom tier characters.
