This match-up favors Mewtwo.

Mewtwo can reflect a lot of projectiles Toon Link uses.

That « tail » also makes it so that Mewtwo outranges Toon Link. Toon Link’s main opening is that like in PM, Mewtwo’s hurtbox makes combos really viable against it, though TL’s combos were scarier in that game. Because of the range Mewtwo has, however, it too has a viable combo game against TL, and that is another big reason why Mewtwo is advantaged here.
