Sheik is just too fast and strong. villager cannot pocket more than one needle and its not even worth pocketing it also forces villager into a specific approach to sheik which is Lloyd rocket and Down turnip / slingshot anything else will leave you open to counters. Lloyd rockets get countered by sheiks dash A because sheik can dash past the rocket before its activated from about an umbrella knocks distance away. sheiks gravity bomb makes it very hard to recover as villager. and needles can actualy pop the balloons very effectively without hitting the villager.

It's easy for shiek to get past villagers traps with needles and her speed, though villager is better off stage then shiek so if you rely on gimics and you try to trick the shiek player or "bait" them into trees and edge gaurds then its usualy even. Dew to the fact that you cant be doing this ALL the time as th shiek player may predict what you do. I usualy try to add side b with the the tree and f-air spam when the tree isnt up... or is... It's really about going over board with usual villager spam. But make sure you can guard needles and sometmimes bouncing fish, as it can be used to punish un-gaurded capming behind a tree

Edit: I know about shiek breaking the bloons on Up b but if you bait them down far enough f-air and b-air can push shiek under the stage and you get free re covery, abusing the over powered up. I can use this vs a shiek player in my area and i can win at about 6/4 to villager, but its not easy for a newer villager player,i played villager for a few months at the start of smash and a few again now...
