It is logical why Sonic is a bad matchup for Mac.
His speed make Little Mac's smash attacks avoidable, not to mention that his KO punch is also avoidable.
If the Sonic player goes for the disrespect, it will affect Little Mac's recovery ENOURMOUSLY, since Sonic can use Up B or Bair to disrespect him. 7-3 matchup

So, in terms of speed Little Mac can definitely catch up with sonic having his 1-Frame jab and secondly with his attacks super armor is a good thing for Little Mac having that it'll cover ALL attacks. Sonic on the other hand can be a handful if all his attacks are based off air moves. Short terms though I feel that Mac has a slighter advantage than Sonic
