Among the Kirbies, MrRyanNess believes this matchup is even, while Komota and Muk think Kirby has a slight advantage. Among the Zeldas, Mocha believes Zelda loses slightly, the Discord, Ven, and Onpu think even, and Fairess believes Zelda wins slightly.

While Kirby can duck under a lot of Zelda's moves, he dies early to Zelda's punishes (Lightning Kicks, Farore's Wind) and struggles a lot in general if he loses the neutral. It's sort of like the majority of matchups involving 2 characters with hot and cold neutrals, and as such, it's fairly even (maybe with slight preference for Kirby).
