Kirby vs. Mario Super Smash Bros. 4 tiers, match-up votes and discussion

Kirby and Mario are mostly even in my opinion. While Mario has a lot of combos, his only good kill options are his B-air, his forward smash, and his Up-air combos on certain stages. Kirby has a lot of moves, such as his up tilt and D-air, that combo into follow-ups, like his forward and down throws, and even his up throw for a surprise kill. However, that is where his kill options end with the exception of a meteor D-air and an up smash. Forward smash kills, but is very unreliable. Kirby also can kill with some moves he copies, but Mario's fireball is not one of them.
Kirby and Mario are great at combos, but their finishes are not good at all.

Because of Mario's combo game (and thus damage racking) considerably edging out Kirby's in this matchup, Mario being able to contest Kirby's edge guarding and sufficiently edge guard Kirby as well, having better finishers (that includes up smash, which SuperShinyShrew forgot to note) and better endurance, I would say that this matchup is solidly, almost decisively, in Mario's favor.
