I think it's because Geralts hop. 2B tends to favor her B moves because they have shorter recoveries and she can go into her dash and air stuff more easily from B moves. So Geralt having a solid answer to her core gameplan puts 2B on the back foot. Since both characters have answers to each others gimmicks it comes down to who has stronger neutral. I gotta give it to Geralt there.
I feel like this matchup could use some explaining. According to eventhubs, Geralt is 2B's worst matchup but from my experience, it seems like her entire moveset is designed to counter Geralt.
Igni: Harrass with your own ranged attacks, since you have much longer reach
Aard: Dodge a low attack with a low attack
Quen: Probably the hardest to counter, but I can't help but think certain hit strings are capable of no-selling Quen's protection even without a Break Attack.
Yrden: Timing Yrden is extremely difficult anyways, so you generally don't need to worry about getting GI'd
