How is this not in Lex's favor? This matchup has been bad for Black Adam even with pre-patch Adam.

At worst, it's even. But Lex has unilaterally better tools in this matchup.

j3 and corp-charge pretty much rule over the mid-screen game. Black Adam has an extremely difficult time jumping back or dashing back to play his usual game. He can't go in the air at all, or he's going to get knocked down and I'm going to get a probe out.

Lex can get his trait up quite easily in this matchup. The startup on lightning strike is too long for Black Adam to constantly keep Lex in check at distance.

And once trait is up, that MB lightning strike loses alot of what makes the move great- the chip damage. Lex takes reduced chip when he blocks with trait up. No chip at all with level 3 shields.

Adam's best way to disperse trait is with his, but his trait recovers slower than Lex's, and Black Adam can't just dash in and body-check Lex with his trait so easily. Jumb-back j3, standing 3, or d3: all Lex's footsies tools outrange Adam, and Lex can get rid of those orbs quite easily.

I agree, probably 5-5 prepatch though. The only legit counter BA has is orbs, which you can literally just wait out with trait up.
