What Nemo said (according to Koichi, anyway) was literally: "She doesn't seem very strong." So I don't think what I wrote was misleading, but thanks for raising your concern. If I see such comments, I do double-check.

They do use the term. Since a long time ago. In Japanese the term is "dougi", which refers to the uniform they wear for martial arts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keikogi Everyone uses the term to refer to Ryu/Ken/Akuma... basically anyone in one of those karate-ish outfits. It's from way back.

Yeah, that's earlier than I thought too. To be fair, KoF 14 has been in development for a while. SNK started hiring people for this before Capcom did, if I remember correctly.
