Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta gameplay footage revealed for Dragon Ball FighterZ

During the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament at Gamescom today, Bandai Namco shared the first-ever gameplay footage of the game's two newest characters.

Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta enter the fray. These two fighters occupy their own character slots on the roster and are not just color swaps of their regular Super Saiyan counterparts.

As we see in the trailer, each one has a handful of unique moves.

It appears Vegeta has some sort of horizontal-moving choke slam (potentially a command throw) and a barrage of punches in the air that brings the opponent to the ground.

Goku, on the other hand, looks to have an overhead kick, his Kaio-Ken x10, and a large, cinematic Kamehameha super.

Those who pre-order a physical copy the game will get early access to Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, as well as two exclusive lobby avatars. Dragon Ball FighterZ is set for release in February 2018.

New Dragon Ball FighterZ trailer shows Piccolo, Krillin, #16 and #18 in action; release date February 2018

A new trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ was shown off at Gamescom 2017 today in Cologne, Germany.

This trailer shows off characters that we've previously seen images of, but not footage, namely Piccolo, Krillin, Android #16 and Android #18 - who, as it turns out, has #17 partaking in much more than just a super in her moveset.

Android #16 is a large, hulking character who fights devastating throws and his arm cannons. #17 and #18 appear to fight in tandem in many aspects, though #18 is the point fighter.

This footage puts in action some of the details we previously learned about Piccolo, such as his ability to attack with stretchy arms and use his Special Beam Cannon. Krillin has a barrage of Destructo Discs at the ready and has what appears to be a super that fires a large blast that eventually breaks off into multiple smaller shots.

Additionally, we get a glimpse at a "forbidden story" that seems to have an army of evil Gokus and a big struggle for the Z Warriors.

At the very end, the trailer reveals a release date of February 2018.

Android 18 and Android 16 confirmed playable in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Today is a big morning for character reveals. It looks as though Dragon Ball FighterZ adds two more combatants to its playable roster.

In the latest issue of V Jump, we see more scans with reveals for the game. The latest images feature more about the Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, as well as the Androids.

First up, we have confirmation that both Android 16 and Android 18 are indeed playable. According to the scan, Android 17 makes an appearance in one of 18's super moves called Accel Dance, but there is no mention of whether or not he will be a separate, standalone character.

Android 16 is the big, hulking fighter of the bunch. The magazine describes him as a "power type" who utilizes "strong grabs" in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

In addition to these characters, there will be a new Party Match mode. With it, six players can control one character of the 3v3 teams each.

Lastly, both Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta have been confirmed as separate playable characters.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is expected to drop early 2018.

New Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite story mode trailer mentions symbiotes, reveals Dormammu, Ghost Rider, and more

A new Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite trailer has been released this morning. Today, we get a deeper look into the game's story mode.

Within the trailer, we see the inclusion of characters such as Ghost Rider and Dormammu. These fighters were mentioned on social media, but did not have an official reveal until now.

The trailer also makes mention of the symbiotes and shows a quick glimpse of black suit Spider-Man. This further supports the rumors that Venom will be added as DLC.

Darkstalkers' Jedah makes his versus series debut in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite and poses a threat outside of Ultron-Sigma. Teaming up with some of the combined universe's villains, Jedah has created a giant symbiote beast that is wreaking havoc on the world.

In order to stop Ultron-Sigma, the heroes must release Thanos from his prison. Thanos' understanding of the Infinity Stones is their only chance at stopping the amalgamation of Ultron and Sigma.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is set for release on September 19th.

Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta added to Dragon Ball FighterZ roster, new 'What If' story mode revealed

Updated: Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta are, in fact, separate playable characters. They will not be simple transformations utilized by the current Goku and Vegeta in the game.

Android 16 has also been confirmed playable.

Earlier: Screenshots of the latest Jump magazine have surfaced online. It featured images from the upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ title.

Within the magazine, we see Goku and Vegeta in their SSGSS status (that's "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan"). It's also known as Super Saiyan Blue.

Goku is also spotted with a red aura around him. This is likely his Kaioken technique being utilized in combination with SSGSS.

It is certainly interesting that these characters have access to their Blue power up. With Goku in particular, one of his hypers is where he transforms into his Super Saiyan 3 form, which is less powerful than this latest form.

There will also be a "What If" story (which is something that has been done in previous Dragon Ball Z games) where Android 16 is revived and seeks out the main characters for a fight.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be launching in 2018. The beta was, unfortunately, delayed until September 16 - 18.

Allen Snider confirmed to be in Arika's unnamed fighting game

Arika has uploaded a teaser which outright shows its latest fighter: Allen Snider.

Allen Snider is a character known for being based off of a young Chuck Norris. He also tends to borrow some mannerisms from Bruce Lee.

Not much is shown of Allen Snider. We, unfortunately, do not yet have the opportunity to view Allen Snider's fighting style in the new game.

All we get to see is his idle stance. Still, it's enough to see that he is most likely going to be a playable fighter.

He is joining Kairi, Garuda, Hokuto, Skullomania and Darun. This makes a total of six characters in the game now.

We'll be sure to be on the lookout for additional details about Allen Snider. I will say though, that the music that plays during the trailer is quite enjoyable.

Ghost Rider joins the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite roster, reveal set for Gamescom

Another character returns to the battle in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Ghost Rider has been confirmed as a playable fighter.

The official Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Twitter account sent out a tweet moments ago with the announcement. "Ghost Rider joins the #MVCI roster at Gamescom on 8/22, but this week he's alongside Morrigan in our Defenders variant cover," the message reads.

As noted above, we can expect a full reveal at Gamescom on August 22nd. In the meantime, we are treated to a look at the special MvCI variant cover for The Defenders #4, which features both Ghost Rider and Morrigan.

This isn't the first time we've seen a Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite character announcement made in such a way. Not long ago, the game's official Facebook page made mention of both Firebrand and Dormammu.

First making his debut in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Ghost Rider uses his chains for long-range combat and his motorcycle to mow down opponents. He will be an interesting addition to the upcoming fighter.

Ghost Rider joins the likes of Dante, Spencer, Hawkeye, and more as a returning character from the previous game in the series. In Marvel vs. Capcom: infinite, each legacy fighter has received some new tricks to use in battle, so we should expect the same here.

Spider-Man, Frank West, Haggar, and Nemesis revealed in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, new stage MODOK's Lair

During the Marvel Games panel at San Diego Comic-Con, new characters were revealed as playable in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Spider-Man, Frank West, Haggar, and Nemesis are officially joining the battle.

The trailer showed the wall crawler using a super move that involves him dodging pumpkin bombs and throwing them at his opponent. We see that Spider-Man's move set looks similar to that of his Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 counterpart, but with some new additions.

Nemesis also retains similar moves from the previous game in the franchise. We see his command throw and his bazooka hyper combo are still intact.

Frank West fans will be happy to learn that the photo-journalist is back and his level up system is still the core of his gameplay. Taking picture to level up improves his tools and we see a new move in which he equips a Servebot head and rushes the opponent for multiple hits.

As for Haggar, he appears to be mostly unchanged from the shot snippet we see of him. He does, however, use the Space stone to bring his opponent in close and hits what appears to be his level 3 hyper combo.

We also learned of a new stage with a giant MODOK in the background. The new trailer also revealed the next Infinity Stone -- the Mind Stone, though we haven't seen it in action just yet.

Though we won't see the official trailer until tomorrow, we can expect to see more Gamora gameplay featured in it.

Footage showing some of the trailer has surfaced. We see all four of the newly announced characters in action, as well as the new stage.

Piccolo and Krillin join the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster

Dragon Ball FighterZ adds two new characters to the playable roster today. Fan-favorites Piccolo and Krillin enter the battle.

The announcement was made in the latest issue of V-Jump magazine. Gematsu shared the scan and more information on both Z-Warriors.

Piccolo has the ability to stretch his arms to grab his opponents, much like we see him do in the anime. He also has a number of ways to break the opponent's block, can fire incredibly fast beams, and can hold button presses to charge up his attacks and make them stronger.

Krillin has low power and reach, but still has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Using the Kamehameha, Krillin can still fight a long-range game. He can also use the “Afterimage Technique," which leaves an image of him behind to psyche out the opponent before turning into an attack.

Fans will also be happy to hear that his trademark Destructo Disc is in the game and is unblockable. Lastly, Krillin can change the trajectory of his Ki blasts and make them explode in the air to create multiple shots.

V-Jump also notes that players will be able to use chibi characters in online mode, making them do battle against each other.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2018. Sign ups for the closed beta will begin on July 26th.

You can check out the scan below. Hit the jump to view Krillin and Piccolo's stats.

Jedah revealed for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

Jedah of Darkstalkers fame was revealed as a playable character in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite today during an exhibition.

Capcom's Peter "Combofiend" Rosas picked Jedah during a match against SPY|Filipino Champ.

It's been a very long time since we last saw Jedah playable in a Capcom fighting game, as it's usually the female Darkstalkers cast members who show up in the MvC titles.

He appears to have similar moves to his Darkstalkers iteration, like his pinwheel attack, and he also fights with a scythe.

Jedah's wings also appear to give him some different movement options, which should be fun to utilize in the game.

Here are a couple of short clips of Jedah in action from the exhibition, where you can see him perform one of his super moves and a bit more.

Capcom shares image of what is very likely Abigail's stage in Street Fighter 5

The Street Fighter 5 news just keeps coming! Moments ago, Capcom France released an image on Twitter that seems to show a new stage in Street Fighter 5.

This backdrop appears to be Final Fight-themed. Twitter user Pickles put together a quick comparison showing that the stage very likely belongs to Abigail.

As we know, the Final Fight boss character is rumored to be the next Street Fighter 5 Season 2 DLC character. EventHubs user Flowtron -- who has made correct predictions in the past -- claims that Abigail is next in line to join the fight.

Adding to the credibility of this claim, an empty character page recently went live on the official CFN website and had a browser tab that read "ABIGAIL|CHARACTER DATA." Now with this image of a potential Metro City stage in Street Fighter 5, the chances are seeming more likely than ever.

Though Capcom cancelled their EVO 2017 panel -- which was set to take place this morning and had everyone expecting a character reveal -- they assured fans that announcements were still coming this weekend. So far, they have not disappointed, with the Street Fighter 5 Nostalgia costumes and the new CPT content being shown this morning.

The official Street Fighter Twitter account has confirmed that the next character reveal is coming during the EVO 2017 Street Fighter 5 top 8, which begins at 7 p.m. PDT / 10 p.m. EDT on Sunday. In the meantime you can check out the stage and comparison below.
