Soul Calibur 6 Ver. 2.20 and 2.21 patch notes

Bandai Namco is gearing up for their next major update to Soul Calibur 6. On August 3, the version 2.20 and 2.21 patches will be going live for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC users, which will bring in support for the new DLC, introduce balance changes, and more.

Compatibility for paid DLC 11 and DLC 12 is being put into place with ver. 2.20, which will pave the way for the latest DLC character, Setsuka, as well as the new character creation set. Setsuka and the creation items will not be available in-game until tomorrow, August 4.

Leo Whitefang and Nagoriyuki announced for Guilty Gear Strive with new gameplay trailer, PlayStation 5 version revealed

The day we've all been waiting so long for is finally here, as the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable brought with it a handful of new fighter reveals.

Arc System Works was of course invited where they ended the stream by showing off the new characters Leo Whitefang and Nagoriyuki coming to Guilty Gear Strive along with a new PlayStation 5 version of the upcoming fighter.

Season 4 announced for Tekken 7, new moves for all characters and online improvements en route

Bandai Namco's Katsuhiro Harada announced today during the Japanese Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable that Tekken 7 will be receiving a fourth season. This will include new moves for all characters and online play enhancements.

Though further details were sparse, the announcement trailer did feature a distant view of a character at the very end. You can view images from the trailer below.

Setsuka announced for Soul Calibur 6's Season Pass 2

Setsuka has been revealed for Soul Calibur 6 via the Season Pass 2. This fighter first appeared in Soul Calibur 3 and returned in the fourth one.

Unfortunately for Setsuka fans, she was essentially replaced by one of Patroklos' forms in Soul Calibur 5. It's been about ten years since Setsuka has been playable in a Soul Calibur title.

Samurai Shodown adds Honor of Kings' Gongsun Li as free DLC character on August 5

SNK recently announced that Samurai Shodown would be receiving a free DLC character soon. The new fighter was set to be a guest contender and crossover with popular mobile game Honor of Kings.

The company has now revealed that Gongsun Li is being added to Samurai Shodown, free of charge, on August 5.

Capcom, Bandai Namco, SNK, and more fighting game publishers holding roundtable live stream on August 1, Guilty Gear Strive reveal confirmed

Several major fighting game publishers are gathering together this weekend for a roundtable discussion live stream. Representatives from Capcom, Bandai Namco, Arc System Works, SNK, Arika, and Koei Tecmo will sit down together on Friday/Saturday at 5 p.m. PT (July 31) / 8 p.m. ET (July 31) / 9 a.m. JST (August 1) for the “Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable.”

The broadcast will see fighting game producers and directors discussing topics chosen by fans before the live stream — which will be airing on the Tekken, Arc System Works, Capcom, and Dead Or Alive YouTube channels. According to Gematsu, we'll be hearing about things such as the fighting games themselves, eSports, and more.

Ring of Prosperity stage and Champion's Choice Laura costume revealed for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition as part of Capcom Pro Tour DLC

Former Capcom Cup champion NuckleDu retires from competitive gaming following car accident

Du "NuckleDu" Dang announced via his Twitter account last night that he will seemingly retire from competitive gaming effective immediately.

The announcement came four days after the 2016 Capcom Cup champion was reported to have been injured in an accident on July 2.

How to perform all Krushing Blows in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath

Mortal Kombat 11 features a game mechanic called "Krushing Blows" that fire into a quick cinematic animation with a similar effect to X-Ray attacks and deal significantly more damage than the move otherwise would.
