Ayano: Community feedback a factor in Street Fighter X Tekken's future balance patch, will address a lot of issues players currently have

Ayano: Community feedback a factor in Street Fighter X Tekken's future balance patch, will address a lot of issues players currently have Speaking with the MTV Multiplayer Blog, Street Fighter X Tekken producer, Tomoaki Ayano, addressed the upcoming free balance patch for the game, noting that they've been factoring in community feedback, and will be addressing a lot of issues players have raised with the gameplay.

Multiplayer: Can we look forward to any more balancing or patches to Street Fighter X Tekken in the near term?

Ayano: We are in the process of rebalancing Street Fighter X Tekken right now actually! I can’t say exactly when the free balance patch will be released, but it will definitely address a lot of issues that players have with the gameplay right now. We have done our best to listen to community feedback and implement fixes accordingly, so please keep your eyes peeled for more news and information on this!

Ayano went on to cover if fighting games need to evolve faster in this day and age, as companies can provide updates for their games via patches, where in the past that wasn't as viable of an option.

Street Fighter X Tekken DLC characters for PC update from Capcom

Street Fighter X Tekken DLC characters for PC update from Capcom Derek on Capcom-Unity made a post earlier that gave a small update to Street Fighter X Tekken's PC patch for the 12 downloadable characters.

He noted that the development is essentially done and it still needs to be sent in to Microsoft, which as we've seen before with Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 patch 1.07 it can take quite a bit of time.

Today, I'm passing along an update about the next batch of DLC for Street Fighter x Tekken (PC), which among other things will include all of the new characters. Here's the update: the development work for this DLC batch is essentially finished, but we still need to wrap up QA and get Microsoft to approve it all before we'll actually be able to release it to the public. As soon as the status changes, I'll hop back on the blog and let everyone know.

EventHubs asks: What should Capcom do to improve Street Fighter X Tekken? Developer notes overview

Street Fighter X Tekken has undergone a number of changes since it was released back in March of this year. From nerfing various gems, to balance changes for the entire roster. Yet, the developers and some members of the community still want additional tweaks.

Time over problems seem to be the top complaint at the moment, but other things like Pandora being too weak, accidentally triggering Quick Combos, neon colors, and a few other issues have come up within the community.

We wanted to recap developer statements Capcom has made about the future of SFxT, but also get reader feedback on what they think should be done with the title — mostly working within the parameters that the development team has said they're looking at.

As such, we've went over notable statements from the SFxT staff and would like to hear your thoughts on the future of this franchise in the comments area below. Hit the jump to check everything out.

Dieminion picked up Guile because he wasn't well represented, felt he could beat people who picked top tier to try and win quickly

Hold Back to Block did a series of interviews at GVN Summer Jam 6 with notable names and top players in the fighting game community, with two of the stand outs being BrokenTier's Dieminion and Detroit's WolfKrone.

Dieminion explains why he picked up Guile, and offers some of his thoughts on why he's had success with him. After the jump there's an embed of the WolfKrone interview, where he discusses his selection of C. Viper and why he plays on a pad instead of a joystick.

• Dieminion started playing Guile because he wasn't well known or represented at the time he picked him up, and wanted to see how far he could take him.

• He said that people don't think about the longevity of a game and flock to top tier characters because they just want to win fast, but they don't think about character specialists who make it hard on them in the long run, that was his mentality behind playing Guile.

• On the subject of Street Fighter X Tekken, he feels the community pre-judges too quickly, and there's a lot left to explore in the title that hasn't even been out for a year.
