Online warriors! PandaXGaming is holding weekly and monthly tournaments with hundreds of dollars up for grabs in cash and prizes!

The world is getting smaller. With more and more regularly-held tournaments, the online fighting game scene is growing.

Last year, the Capcom Pro Tour promoted online game play by holding qualifiers that were exclusively online. This year, LevelUp has turned their famous "Wednesday Night Fights" into an internet, PC tournament.

Over the last several years, PandaXGaming has become a household name in online Street Fighter 4 and Cross Tekken competition, and they too are upping the ante with their upcoming tournament schedules.

SolidXPanda himself, aka Jonathon Oudthone, says it best:

"PandaxGaming has big plans for the 2015 online tournament season. Last year we proved that online tournaments on a mass scale for Street Fighter were possible and efficient if organized properly. This year we have our goals set even higher. We've been working around the clock to reshape the way online events are handled for fighting games. We are bringing more tournaments, features and hype to the online community.

For the entire year of 2015 we will be running weekly and monthly tournaments online via Xbox Live. Not only will these players be able to win cash prizes ($800 total last month) and products from our sponsors, but they'll also be able to win ''Panda Points''. Panda Points will be awarded to players who enter our online tournaments based off of their results. Those points are calculated in our ranking system to determine the overall rankings throughout each season."

Eight hundred dollars a month to play games? Even if you don't normally play online, you may want to start!

Bayonetta and Groot make the strangest, most badass Street Fighter X Tekken team ever

Over the course of my life, I've seen some truly amazing PC mods. Everything from Asura in Ultra Street Fighter 4 to Vanilla Sagat actually being an ice cream cone; there isn't much I haven't seen yet. But for some reason tonight's mods have to be among my absolute favorites.

Below you will find footage featuring a couple of Street Fighter X Tekken PC mods. This duo includes Bayonetta (Poison) and Guardians of the Galaxy's Groot (Marduk).

These two make a fairly strange team, but for some reason, it just works.

Watch as the Umbra witch and the intergalactic tree-man fight alongside one another in SFxT tag-team awesomeness.

Yoshinori Ono tells us the Street Fighter X Tekken changes Capcom would make if they had the budget to put out another update

Capcom corporate officer Yoshinori Ono mentioned in an earlier interview with Famitsu's Ayana Tsubaki that if he were able to allot slightly more budget to Street Fighter X Tekken, he would love to put out another update for the game. He even said that the development team has got some ideas on what they'd like to change.

Back when we translated his thoughts on the matter in that interview, we found his comment to be quite the surprise. After all, it's been a fairly long amount of time since Street Fighter X Tekken has been spoken about in the limelight. I don't think anybody was even under the impression that we'd ever live to see another update to the game.

So when Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong (Singapore branch) arranged for us to interview Yoshinori Ono ourselves at GameStart Asia 2014 in Singapore, we naturally had to press the man -- one of the most esteemed public faces of Capcom -- for more details about such a potential SFxT update, and how possible it would be for Capcom to approve it (for the sake of all you SFxT fans out there... anyone?).

KarbyP: In your interview with Ayana Tsubaki on Famitsu, you said that if you could allocate more budget to the development of Street Fighter X Tekken, you'd like to put out another update for the game. Is that still a possibility at this point in time? And regardless of whether or not it's possible, could you share with us what you'd like to change in such an update?

Should Street Fighter X Tekken receive an update? Is it even worth it at this point? EventHubs Round Table discusses Ono's Famitsu interview

Earlier this week, Capcom's own Yoshinori Ono spoke to Famitsu, saying that an update to Street Fighter X Tekken may actually be possible.

With that in mind, the EventHubs team banded together in order to discuss the Capcom/Bandai Namco crossover fighter. What alterations should be made if an update came to fruition? Is patching the game even worth it at this point? We address all of this and more in our latest Round Table.

Not only that, but in his interview Ono stated that the chances of us seeing a new Darkstalkers title any time soon are extremely slim. But it doesn't hurt to dream! As an added bonus, each of this discussion's participants divulged what they'd most like to see if a fresh game in the series were ever created.

Check out what we have to say below, and as always, please feel free to provide your own answers to these questions in our comments section.

Ono: We won't be releasing a new Darkstalkers game anytime soon, unless someone buys a staggering number of Darkstalkers Resurrection copies

This week, Famitsu.com has published another interview with Capcom's Yoshinori Ono.

This new piece is a continuation of the interview conducted by popular TV and online gaming personality Ayana Tsubaki (in which Ono spoke about the Street Fighter 5 misquotes) and transcribed by Toyoizumi from the Famitsu editorial team.

Although Ono seems to be jesting in much of this part of Famitsu's interview, he did drop a few bombshells on us unsuspecting readers: a new Darkstalkers game won't be released anytime soon, and it may actually be possible for Capcom to release one more patch for Street Fighter X Tekken.

Read on to find out what Ono said.

Capcom's Yoshinori Ono on the mistakes made with Street Fighter X Tekken; the truth behind Street Fighter 5's 'pay-to-win' misquote

Back in June this year, Sponichi Annex, the online portal for the Sports Nippon Japanese newspaper, published an article in which Capcom's president and COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto was misquoted to have suggested that Street Fighter 5 might implement some kind of pay-to-win system.

EventHubs was the first to break that story, and over the following day, news of Tsujimoto's alleged comments made its way to the gaming press at large, prompting Capcom corporate officer Yoshinori Ono to clarify the misquotes on Twitter. The very next day, Capcom Japan also issued a press release refuting the alleged comments published in Sponichi Annex's report.

But just exactly what did the Capcom president and COO say to the Japanese media to have led to such an errorneous report?

In a new interview with popular TV and online gaming personality Ayana Tsubaki published today on Famitsu.com, Ono spoke about the misquotes for the very first time -- and explained what was actually said.

Happy birthday to the Street Fighter poster child: Ryu turns 50 today

We have had a number of readers write in to inform us that today is a very special day in the Street Fighter universe.

The wandering warrior and Street Fighter poster child, Ryu, celebrates his 50th birthday today. Now I know that many of your are thinking, "but DreamKing, Street Fighter has only been around since 1987!"

Although you are correct in stating that fact, Ryu's bio from the Super Nintendo port of Street Fighter 2 indicates that he was actually born on July 21, 1964.

'I don't mind playing top tier, but don't like them in UMvC3' - Justin Wong talks EVO win, top 5 characters, and more in EventHubs exclusive interview

EVO 2014 has wrapped up, and finally, the crowd favourite EG|Justin Wong has won 1st place in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

While Justin has taken several tournaments in the game with his signature team of Wolverine, Storm and Akuma, that EVO title has always been just out of reach for the veteran fighting game master.

We caught up with Justin in the wake of EVO 2014, and asked him a few questions about what it feels like to be the champ. Here's a snippet to get you started.

MajinTenshinhan: Last year, you did an amazing run through top 8 of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but fell short in the end against RG|Flocker, who took home the gold. Since then, people have been very vocal about you bringing the hype to Marvel, so all eyes were definitely on you this year, even moreso given your prestigious history with the game's predecessor. How does it feel playing on the big stage, knowing that you have so many people out there rooting specifically for you?

EG|Justin Wong: It felt really good, just because making it back on the stage for top 8 of a Marvel vs. Capcom game gave me hope, and hope for everyone else. I wanted to win really bad, and I didn't want to let people down again.

You can find the rest of Justin's answers below.
