PC mods: Street Fighter 2 stages make their way into Ultra Street Fighter 4, check out Ken's, Ryu's, Dhalsim's, and more here

Since the release of Street Fighter 4 back in 2008, players have requested that Capcom release a DLC stage pack that recreated classic stages from Street Fighter 2. Though the life of Ultra Street Fighter 4 DLC is more than likely coming to an end soon (with Street Fighter 5 already on the way), the chances of us seeing such content is probably pretty slim. That is, unless, we don't take into account PC mods.

PC Best Mods has uploaded footage of some truly epic USF4 PC mods. Instead of character alterations, this time around we get to see fresh backdrops for the fighters to engage in battle upon.

As you may have guessed, these stage mods were created to bring players a touch of nostalgia. Below you will find a handful of images showing off Ryu, Dhalsim, and Ken's SF2 stages in USF4.

'He's the grandfather of Street Fighter to me'—Clip from upcoming FGC documentary explores the massive influence of Alex Valle

Main purpose of Street Fighter 5's beta is to test out online infrastructure; Sony key in assisting with cross platform play

"He's the grandfather of Street Fighter to me," Justin Wong states in black and white. Alex Valle is a household name for almost any FGC fan, but many aren't aware of just how grand his legacy really is. At a time where the U.S. didn't have a scene that could compete internationally, he was one of the few that stood above the rest of his counterparts.

Beyond just being a strong player, his community building efforts weren't rivaled until years later when Alex Jebailey would step forward to create Community Effort Orlando.

Fortunately, this upcoming documentary by Shankar Tablada, titled The Fighting Game Community, makes sure to give due time to one of the greatest trailblazers of our scene. Also, in case you missed it, check out the first trailer for it here.

Check out the clip below for today's history lesson.

Two Super Turbo side tournaments slated for EVO 2015; a mystery 'Japanese Grandmaster' to attend

The fighting game community passed another mile marker earlier this week with the first ever playable Street Fighter 5 experience at E3, but no matter how far we march into the future of competitive Street Fighter, it seems there will always be a reverence for our more humble beginnings.

Super Turbo die hard, Eugene "El Trouble" Lin, is running not one, but two Super Turbo tournaments at EVO this year. The first of these is a singles tourney on Friday the 17th, while the second is a 2v2 team tournament on the following day.

What's more, a Japanese Grandmaster has confirmed they will be at EVO for ST this year. We don't know who this mystery competitor is yet, but with ST legends like MCZ|Daigo Umehara already in attendance at EVO, there's sure to be some intense old school action.

Poll: Which old school Street Fighter title had the best balance?

A little ways back, we asked our users which version of Street Fighter 4 had the best balance, with Ultra Street Fighter 4 winning by a large margin.

Today we wanted to open up a new poll for every old school entry in the franchise, running from Street Fighter 2 (1991) all the way through Street Fighter 3 Third Strike (1999), to find out which version our readers thought had the best character balance overall.

The poll includes all major releases from Capcom in the Street Fighter series, before SF4, but doesn't include the Vs. or EX titles.

You can find the early results below, along with a spot where you can cast your vote.

Find out about all of Bison's Tuesdays in the latest The World Warriors episode by Capcom

Kazumi revealed for Tekken 7

Are you hype for Bison in Street Fighter 5? To further your excitement, Capcom UK has released another one of its excellent The World Warriors episodes, this time focusing on Street Fighter's most iconic villain.

While most characters in the SF universe have some interaction with the head of Shadaloo, some of his own motivations and ideas may be lost in their stories–or not; Bison's motives are about as deep as any 1990s cartoon antagonist.

That doesn't make him any less fun, however, as his obsession with capturing Ryu's body leads to an enjoyable enough story.

To watch the history of M. Bison, check out the video below.

Who's Sarah? What happened to Cammy and Ryu's kicks? Dhalsim's stage had a window? Street Fighter 2 mysteries from The Cutting Room Floor

"For every mystery, there is someone, somewhere, who knows the truth. Perhaps that someone is watching. Perhaps... it's you!"

Or perhaps not. Putting Robert Stack aside for a moment, all sorts of interesting things have surfaced when people have taken a closer look at the files from the Street Fighter 2 series.

While not all of these things are mysteries — and some have clear explanations — a number of others are pretty open to interpretation.

The Cutting Room Floor is a great website which examines the core files of games to see things that were either cut in the development process, or just didn't make it to the final release for some reason or another.

The Street Fighter 2 series is no exception to this rule, as there are likely a number of things you didn't know existed in the arcade releases' original ROM files. For a closer look, click the link below — if you dare.

Street Fighter X Adventure Time is a thing that needs to happen; see this artist's interpretation of SF characters in the Adventure Time universe

Ever wonder what it'd be like if the cast from Super Turbo wound up in the Land of Ooo? Well we hadn't either, until we saw these brilliant illustrations from Jenoz Ngyuen's blog.

Though it takes roughly nine months to create each 11 minute episode via storyboarding, Adventure Time has a very simplistic art style which lends itself nicely to the Street Fighter cast.

The bare-bones Adventure Time facial expressions compliment characters like Balrog, Honda, Zangief and, somehow, even Vega. Take a peek into the world of Street Fighter Time with this entertaining imagining of the two worlds.

The Green Ranger squares off against Ryu in a fight to the finish! Who will survive this Super Power Beat Down?

Fantasy battles between our favorite characters from different universes have become quite the trend in recent years. YouTube channel batinthesun has been investigating hypothetical duels for some time now in their Super Power Beat Down series.

Today's SPBD features Street Fighter's Ryu and Mighty Morphin Power Ranger's Green Ranger. Unlike similar channels that feature fantasy battles, batinthesun features live action imaginations of their bouts. In fact, they've even got Jason David Frank to reprise his role as the Green Ranger.

In batinthesun's videos, winners are decided by fan-based polls. With this in mind, who do you think would win in a fight to the death between these two classics? For those wondering, Ryu does have his Evil Ryu powers at his disposal and Tommy doesn't get to use Zords.

Hit the jump to see the fight, and comment on what you thought of the outcome!
