Legendary Street Fighter player CYG|Daigo Umehara interviewed Akira Nishitani where the "father of Street Fighter 2" discussed the difficulties or trying to implement the blocking system to the game thinking it to be a dangerous concept.

These new official Street Fighter pins are classic, classy and perfect for any fan of the franchise

Screenwriter Gary Dauberman really wanted to put Street Fighter 2 in It: Chapter Two, but had to settle for the franchise's first title

When people think of old school Street Fighter from back in the arcade days, they really don't think of Street Fighter 1. 'I wanted to put my name on that wall' - Daigo Umehara shares one of his most shameful stories from back in his Street Fighter 2 days

He's a Street Fighter god, he's a Beast, and as it turns out, CYG|Daigo Umehara is also a human. During an interview on BeasTV late last month, Daigo opened up about a story from his Street Fighter 2 arcade days that he isn't especially proud of.

The Beast explains that he used to go to an arcade called Bickyes, which, at the time, was one of the most competitive spots for Street Fighter 2. Bickyes had a little in-house ritual where if a player was able to go on a 15-game win streak they'd get their name on the wall under a picture of the character they used.

No one draws Chun-Li quite like Akiman

No matter how many times different artists from around the globe draw the now-iconic characters from the Street Fighter universe, there's a certain touch that only Akira "Akiman" Yasuda can put on them.

That's probably because Akiman was the one to first put pen to paper when it came to the Street Fighter 2 World Warriors all the back in the early 1990's. Though he hasn't been with Capcom since 2003, he still cranks out gorgeous works of fighting game art as a freelance artist.
