Ness' PK Flash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is stronger than you might think, check out this montage of Fow using it with surprising efficiency

Ness and his psychokinetic abilities have been a part of Super Smash Bros. since the franchise's earliest days, but his PK Flash technique is sometimes regarded as a tad too slow to be all that big of a threat. A Ness player by the name of Fow thinks differently.

Fow has more than a few tournament matches under his belt with Earthbound's silent protagonist and has been spotted multiple times making PK Flash look much more efficient than many of us would have thought. The Ness player recently released a montage showing this off directly.

Up against VoiD's Pikachu in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, your character may not even have a full minute to live

It's no secret that CLG|VoiD was the player that really demonstrated Pichu's top tier attributes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Since then, Pichu was actually nerfed quite harshly in the version 3.1.0 patch.

Likely as a result of those nerfs, VoiD has been spotted spending at least some time with Pichu's evolved form, Pikachu. The match highlighted didn't even last a full minute.

Marss releases his Zero Suit Samus match up chart for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Panda Global's Marss has been scoring tournament wins with Zero Suit Samus in Super Smash Bros. for some time now, and has recently come out with a match up chart for the armor-less version of Miss. Aran in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Zero Suit Samus is currently regarded by many in the Ultimate community as one of the game's stronger fighters, which is particularly impressive when you consider she has more than 70 other characters to compete with. It seems as though Marss might be trying to undersell his main a bit (if nothing else, judging by his calling her "Garbage Girl") in order to avoid the nerf bat.

Update: Dragon Quest's Hero in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate appears in Nintendo's new Summer content trailer

Update: Nintendo has renamed the title of their "Fan-Favorites & Newest Releases" trailer so that it now reads Summer instead of July. It is unclear why the change was made as it could have been unintentional, inaccurate or altered for a different reason. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and Fire Emblem: Three Houses are set with July release dates, and the new season of Fortnite with a likely July release window which leaves Dragon Quest's Hero DLC as the big question mark still.

Earlier: Nintendo has released a "Fan-Favorites & Newest Releases" trailer for the month of July. Curiously, we got another glimpse of the Dragon Quest's Hero in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during the course of the video.

Remember that the Hero is supposed to be released in Summer 2019. Although no new footage was shown of the Hero, it is heavily implied that the Hero will be made available in July — this very month.

Using Meta Knight's Air Drop throw on Snake with a held grenade is a guaranteed death in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In the Super Smash Bros. series, you generally want to avoid being at the most left, right, upper, and bottom portions of the screen. Basically any attack with knockback attached to it will cause you to lose a stock even at 0% damage.

So if you were to get hit during the peak of Meta Knight's up throw, you're sure to be KO'd. This is exactly what happened in a clip uploaded by Bully on Twitter.

Dyr's version 3.1.0 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tier list claims that Joker is the best character right now

With characters like Olimar, Peach, and Pichu nerfed in the latest patch — version 3.1.0 — for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the meta has been developing in interesting ways. Although FOX|MkLeo is basically the only player that's pushing success with this character right now, Joker appears to be among the top echelon right now.

A notable Super Smash Bros. 4 and Ultimate player, Dyr, has released his Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tier list for version 3.1.0 of the game. Although he was a Diddy Kong player in Smash 4, he's been maining Joker in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
