MKLeo is making Joker look strong in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate but cracks start to show when he doesn't have Arsene at his side

Persona 5's Joker has been out as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's second DLC character for just over a month now, and it seems as though most of the professionals — and casuals — looked at him with immediate interest. One top player has stuck by the newcomer, however, and is posting strong results with him already.

Leonardo "FOX|MKLeo" Lopez Perez is considered by many to be the strongest Smash Ultimate player on the scene right now, and he's been tearing through the Get On My Level brackets this weekend using almost exclusively Joker though it hasn't exactly been flawless.

This information came about immediately after the release of the 3.0 patch. Sakurai even states that some of the information here may come across as a little dated as a result.

More gritty Super Smash Bros. Ultimate artwork from God of War's art director

Grassetti has continued to put together Smash Bros. character art and has since shared numerous pieces on social media. Today we've got more top-notch, gritty Super Smash Bros. characters for you to enjoy.

Best and worst Super Smash Bros. Ultimate created stages: Philips CD-i Ganon, the Mortal Kombat Pit, a plea to Sakurai for Goku

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Stage Editor feature is a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it can bring about some truly amazing creations from dedicated fans. On the other hand... designs on the internet can get pretty bleak very quickly.

With new content being uploaded to Smash Bros. Ultimate's shared content section every day, we thought it would be fun to look through the creations for the best and worst fan-made stages from over the past week or so. This installment features both wacky and spectacular battlefields, so let's jump right into it.

Pikachu gently taps Ice Climbers' Nana and sends her to a devastating death in this odd Super Smash Bros. Ultimate clip

Oh, fighting game oddities are the best thing ever, aren't they? Whether it be odd hitbox/hurtbox interactions or full-blown glitches that send characters ascending to the heavens (I'm looking at you, Chun-Li), the strange instances that can and do occur in our favorite fighters are always entertaining.

Despite the incredible level of polish and content put into it, Nintendo's massively successful brawler Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not immune to strange happenings. This clip featuring Pikachu and the Ice Climbers is very indicative of that.

E3 2019 will start on June 11, 2019. That means that we're less than a month away from learning about what gaming companies have been working on.

'Final Sakurai' custom stage puts Masahiro Sakurai into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in his iconic pose

The version 3.0 patch for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate added the Stage Builder mode. Compared to Brawl and Smash 4, SSBU's custom options for stage building allows for more creativity than ever before.

While some players use their powers of creativity to create NSFW content, others actually use this tool as an opportunity to show off what they can do. "Chad :D" took the time to create a stage that places the series director — Masahiro Sakurai — into the game itself.

This is how the Detective Pikachu writers would handle a Super Smash Bros. movie

Detective Pikachu hit theaters late last week and saw major success in the box office, pulling in a staggering $58 million in the U.S. and Canada this past weekend. As the first live-action Pokemon film, there is undoubtedly a lot of hype surrounding the movie from long-time Pokemon fans and newcomers to the series alike.

With current film phenomenons like the Marvel Cinematic Universe being so vastly popular, fans might be wondering if Detective Pikachu could act as the start of something more for Nintendo characters and say, something like the Super Smash Bros. series. The writers of Detective Pikachu were recently asked how they'd handle a live-action film for Nintendo's massive crossover fighting game, and their answer was quite interesting.

Which characters can destroy King K. Rool's belly super armor in one hit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?

King K. Rool's super armor mechanic is a real double-edged sword. On one hand, it can plow through and beat most other attacks in the game. The downside is that if King K. Rool absorbs 28.02% damage like this, he'll suffer a status effect that is not unlike being shield broken.

Against most attacks, it will take several hits in order to achieve this state of King K. Rool. However, there are a number of characters that have access to attacks that can destroy King K. Rool's armor is just one hit.

Dante could now possibly join the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with the release of the original Devil May Cry on Nintendo Switch

Despite the original Devil May Cry releasing all the way back in 2001, the series has never appeared on a Nintendo console or handheld of any kind leaving Dante out of the running for a spot on Super Smash Bros.' ever-growing roster... until now that is.

Capcom has announced that the HD port of the first Devil May Cry will be coming to the Switch this Summer which reminded us that the series' longtime director, Hideaki Itsuno, already said he'd be open to the son of Sparda joining the likes of Mega Man, Ryu and Ken in Smash if the series made its way to the platform.
