Tonight, we have put together a beginner's guide to EVO of sorts in hopes that we can make your viewing experience this weekend that much easier.

Atlus adds a cool $10,000 bonus to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax's EVO pot

It seems all the cool kids are doing it, so Atlus has jumped on board and given just a bit more incentive for Persona players at this year's EVO with an extra $10,000 to be spread amongst the top placers.

Other hefty amounts have been donated to a selection of other games as Warner Bros., Iron Galaxy, NetherRealm Studios, Microsoft Studios, and Capcom have all given $50,000 bonuses to each of their respective titles at EVO 2015.

Nearly every iteration of EVO has seen an impressive spike in attendance, and now we're seeing the fruits of our dedication as developers are giving back in no small way. This weekend (or, actually, weekend+Monday), we're being treated to KVO in Japan. This is a Capcom Pro Tour Asia qualifier taking place in Japan, so the Ultra Street Fighter 4 players are out for blood.

You can expect to see Bonchan, Kazunoko, MCZ|Tokido, FGC|Pepeday, Haitani, RZR|Itabashi Zangief, KojiKOG, Nishikin, Dogura, Kindevu, Misse, Eita, RF, Kyoku and many more.

That's not all, though. This is actually a multi-game event, featuring as many as 12 different games. While Ultra Street Fighter 4 is considered the main event for some, this tournament's main draw is that it is a Arc Revo and EVO qualifier for Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN, as well as a EVO qualifier for BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend and Persona 4: Arena Ultimax.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U takes the lead over Ultra Street Fighter 4 in CEO 2015 entrants - check out these early numbers

Community Effort Orlando 2015, one of the largest major fighting game events of the year, is drawing ever nearer.

Last week, CEO tournament organizer Alex Jebailey took to Twitter to release the early entrant numbers for this year's event.

While Ultra Street Fighter 4 generally draws in the largest crowds, as it stands right now, the Super Smash Bros. Wii U tournament at CEO has the highest number of participants, coming in at a whopping 97 registrants. Not only that, but Super Smash Bros. Melee has the same number of entrants as Ultra Street Fighter 4, and both are tied for the second highest number of players competing.
