From slippery floors to in your face flatulence, these are 10 of the most disrespectful Supers in fighting games

Super moves continue to be one of the premier feature of fighting games over 30 years since they were first implemented to bring they hype, but not all of them are made to play nice.

The 'most unfair throws' in Mortal Kombat history can lead to nearly 60% and 100% damage as demonstrated by TrueUnderDawgGaming

Mortal Kombat: Deception was an interesting game for players of the "grappler archetype" mindset. Although it was possible to duck or move away from throws, there was actually no way to perform a throw break in Mortal Kombat: Deception. Additionally, many characters had access to OTGs — attacks with "off the ground properties" — that could lead into devastating damage after achieving a knockdown from throwing.

While Tanya is generally perceived to be a mid tier in Mortal Kombat: Deception, she has one of the most unfair throws in any Mortal Kombat title, even to this day. TrueUnderDawgGaming recently released a video that talks about Tanya and one other character's cheap throw tactics in Mortal Kombat: Deception.

Mortal Kombat Deception's worst character also had its most painfully unfair attack

We recently released a video detailing the worst characters introduced in each 3D Mortal Kombat game, and though there was most certainly strong competition, the winner in Mortal Kombat Deception was the strikingly bland Dairou.

Not only was Dairou painfully uninspired in his general design, but as True Under Dawg Gaming explores in his latest video, he also had one of the most obviously overpowered and cheap moves we've ever seen in a fighting game.

How Reptile's redesign in the 3D era of Mortal Kombat is easily the most hated in the series

As someone who has been a fan of the Mortal Kombat series since the beginning, Reptile is among my favorite characters in the series. However, it should be noted that I'm only a fan of Reptile while he's donning his humanoid ninja appearance (including how Reptile looks in Mortal Kombat 9 and Mortal Kombat X).

Like most other fans, however, I thought the redesigns in Mortal Kombat 4 and Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance were... atrociously bad. Needless to say, I was reminded of these awful Reptile designs recently thanks to TrueUnderDawgGaming's video upload that reviews Reptile's redesign in Deadly Alliance.

NetherRealm's next project still being a mystery makes this 2019 Ed Boon quote about a potential Marvel vs. DC game very interesting

The next generation of fighting games has officially begun. Major companies like Capcom and Bandai Namco have started to throw their hat in the ring with the former's Street Fighter 6 slated for a 2023 release and the latter's big potential Tekken 8 tease at Evo 2022 earlier this month. But what about the other big dog in the room: NetherRealm Studios (NRS)?

Though it has been confirmed that the company is currently focused on their next project, fans are still waiting for some shred of information on what it might be. Considering we simply don't know what the creators of Mortal Kombat could be developing at the moment, a quote from a 2019 interview with MK series co-creator Ed Boon might be more telling than we initially realized.

Something for the Mortal Kombat 30th anniversary has been revealed but it's not something to get excited for...

It's been over a year since NetherRealm Studios announced that post-launch development for Mortal Kombat 11 had ceased, and that the developers had moved on to their next project. Ever since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting news on what this next project could be. Is it Mortal Kombat 12 or Injustice 3? Or maybe it even has something to do with that rumor concerning Marvel Comics.

Regardless, some fans were hoping that maybe we'd get some news on October 8 of this year, the 30th anniversary of the Mortal Kombat series. Recently, however, something for the 30th anniversary may or may not have leaked on Amazon. If this is really the only thing that's planned, then fans should be ready for a disappointment.

The worst Mortal Kombat characters added in each of the 3D era games

We're back with part two of our exploration of the worst characters making their playable debuts in every Mortal Kombat game. This time we're looking at the 3D era (not so arguably the franchise's darkest period when it comes to fresh faces) to determine who fans hated the most in Mortal Kombat 4, Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon.

Some of these games had a few new additions who would go on to be fan favorites and return in later titles, (Armageddon doesn't count) but the majority were actually relatively bad. Picking out a worst in some of these games was actually quite the challenge, but we've come up with our list and are ready to share it.

The nastiest anti-airs throughout NetherRealm Studios' Mortal Kombat titles as highlighted by TrueUnderDawgGaming

There's always a unique lesson that can be taken away from every fighting game in regards to the act of jumping. In most traditional fighting games, it's generally not possible to block or perform other defensive measures during a jump. With these fighting games, jumping is intended to be a high risk, high reward maneuver.

NetherRealm Studios' Mortal Kombat 9, Mortal Kombat X, and Mortal Kombat 10 are among the fighting games where players are able to perform anti-airs without the fear of something like airborne blocking or parrying. A recent video upload from TrueUnderDawgGaming recently highlighted some of the nastiest anti-airs present in the latest three Mortal Kombat entries.
