Twitch is making sure that you can 'cheer' for your favorites this weekend at EVO, let Mike Ross and Bobby Scar tell you how

This year's EVO is already off to a massive start, and things can only get better as the weekend goes on. The hype is definitely far from over, and starting today, Twitch is bringing something special to the viewing experience.

Not too long ago, Twitch launched the beta for a new feature called Cheering, which essentially gives viewers a new alternative way to support their favorite casters outside of subscribing, or donating.

The Cheering feature will be making its way to the EVO feed this weekend, offering viewers the opportunity to directly support their favorite players and commentators.

You can participate in the cheering this weekend by purchasing Bits. Bits are a special currency currently used to purchase animated emotes, and a matching badge that will appear next to your name in chat.

EVO tournament organizers have produced the beta brackets for the what looks to be 2016's biggest and baddest fighting game competition.

These aren't quite set in stone yet, as players are asked to review their individual brackets to see if they've been matched up against a player from their own region. After taking a look over your pool, there's a feedback option to allow you to voice any concerns.

We went ahead and grabbed the Street Fighter 5 brackets for RB|Daigo, RZR|Infiltration and Tokido:

Hoping for Marvel vs. Capcom 4? Keep asking, Marvel Games is listening

It's really not much more than non-silence, but Marvel Games' Vice President, Jay Ong, addressed the potential for new Marvel vs. Capcom content in a recent talk with Polygon.

With big time projects in the works, like a virtual reality Spider-Man from Insomniac Games, things are certainly moving and shaking at Marvel Games headquarters. The biggest question from the FGC though has got to be: When's new Mahvel?

"There's nothing we can say at this time," Ong told Polygon. "Let's just say that we hear that a lot. We love our fans and we certainly want to please them. Beyond that we can't say anything at this time. But who knows what the future holds?"

Super Smash Bros. 4 beats Street Fighter 5 for top spot by nearly 100 entrants; CEO 2016's final registration numbers

CEO 2016, the next stop on the Capcom Pro Tour, is taking place this weekend in Orlando, Florida. Some of the best players on the tournament scene today will undoubtedly be competing at this premier event, especially with another coveted Capcom Cup spot on the line.

The tournament's organizer, Alex Jebailey, recently took to Twitter to share the final registration numbers per game, and the turnout looks great.

What's most interesting about these numbers, though, is the fact that Street Fighter 5 -- one of, if not, the most popular game in the fighting game community -- didn't receive the most entrants this time around. Instead, Super Smash Bros. 4 takes top honors, beating Capcom's latest fighter by 82 registrants.

Jebailey notes that 60% of this year's entrants are first-timers to CEO.

To see how many players each game pulled in, be sure to hit the jump.
