Daigo learns UmvC3 from one of the world's best players - watch as Justin Wong teaches The Beast for the Iron Fist Netflix premiere

So this is probably the first time that most of the general public has seen Daigo Umehara play a game within the Marvel vs. Capcom series.

His opponent to get warmed up? Justin Wong, one of the greatest players to have touched the series.

Both players are playing as Iron Fist since the event is being presented by the upcoming Iron Fist Netflix show.

It's worth keeping in mind that Daigo is essentially learning the game from Justin Wong so this segment probably shouldn't be taken too seriously. Still, Justin Wong is able to show off his knowledge of Iron Fist combos.

Capcom Unity conducted an interview with the comic's two artists, in which they answer a few questions about their feelings working on a comic book which combines the Marvel unvierse with the various Capcom worlds.

You can see a quick snippet of their answers below.

Capcom: Please introduce yourself and give us a little background on what you do for Marvel.

Sean Chen: I'm a veteran comic book artist with about 20 years in the industry. Mostly known for a long run on the Iron Man comic, but have also done stints on Wolverine, X-Men, Spider-Man, The Avengers, among others.

These days I split my time between comic and advertising. In comics, I do mostly covers and special projects for different publishers. In the advertising industry, I mostly do storyboards for television commercials.

Gerardo Sandoval: My name is Gerardo Sandoval. I have worked on titles such as: Age of Apocalypse, X-Men, Guardians 3000, New Avengers, Wolverine and Venom.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 officially available on Steam and Xbox One; see PC gameplay footage here

For a game that many claimed was on life support status, (or even already dead) two years ago, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is looking pretty damn vivacious.

The resilient title made its way to EVO 2017, despite not being picked directly by tournament organizers, as fans of the game rallied together to donate more to Make A Wish than any of other eight potential EVO titles.

Ultimate Marvel was ported to PlayStation 4 back in December of last year, and today UMvC3 has been officially released on Steam and Xbox One, meaning that for $24.99 players can start doing infinite combos and foot diving in the highest resolution we've seen yet.

Your computer can probably run it, but just to be sure, check out the system requirements below.

Titles that redefined the fighting game genre, media licensing nightmares and a whole lot of hype... the history of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise

If you consider yourself a fighting game fan, we'd highly recommend watching this excellent video on the history of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise.

Ever hear talk of how Disney's acquisition of Marvel made it impossible for a new game to happen after MvC3? This history video from Stop Skeletons From Fighting will clarify that whole ordeal for you. In short, media licensing can be a convoluted nightmare.

Started with the launch of X-Men vs. Street Fighter in 1996, the VS. Series would become a staple of the fighting game realm with its high flying, chaotic action and constant flashy movement. Though initially a success, the franchise would realize all new heights with the legendary Marvel vs. Capcom 2 in 2000.

Check out this visual timeline courtesy of the MvC Wiki page:

Even if you're not a Marvel player, this video is well worth a watch.

Last weekend's Winter Brawl was filled with exciting play from no less than 12 different titles, but it was one Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 moment in particular that caught our attention.

ANBU|Punisher and Unkn0wn met in the top eight losers bracket, and would partake in a drawn out duel spanning a full five games. After such a grueling and intense set, one would think the final moments to be climactic... but that's not exactly how things went.

Having already KO'd Unkn0wn's Magneto, Punisher was left to deal with Morrigan and Phoenix. Unkn0wn's objective was to fill his fifth and final bar of meter, so as to gain access to the all powerful Dark Phoenix.

Two well timed Supers from Punisher's Hawkeye took care of Morrigan, meanwhile his Rocket Raccoon was busy placing spring traps about the stage...

Filipino Champ: Zero and Morrigan point teams don't lose any match ups; one of Marvel's greatest talks tiers and his five favorite players

PG|Filipino Champ is easily one of the greatest Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 players of all time. Earlier today, the Dormammu / Phoenix player took to Twitter to share a few thoughts on some of the game's top tiers.

After recalling a time in 2014 where he predicted Phoenix would be top 3 in the game, Champ noted what he believes are the only S+ tier teams. "I do think that there are only two types of S+ teams: Zero or Morrigan point teams with support / anchor," he tweeted.

Champ feels that these types of teams are strong against any match up in the game.

He goes on to talk about S and A tier teams, Vergil's effectiveness, and more. You can check out the tweets below.
