People may not think much of game manuals these days, but back when a lot of us were growing up these little instruction booklets that came included with each game were crucial to our experience. Today, those same manuals serve little to no purpose on the information front thanks to the vastness of the internet, but their value comes in the form of historical significance and the incredible amount of nostalgia they provide.
A streamer by the name of Peebs recently completed an absolutely daunting feat in gathering scans for every single English game manual released for the Super Nintendo. The vault of scans is now available online in its entirety, and within it, there are some truly amazing fighting game booklets to look over.
After initially being announced back in 2019, then being delayed all the way to 2022, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course is finally here. Cuphead, Mugman, and new character Ms. Chalice take on a gang of new enemies in a far away land to try and gather ingredients for a very special recipe.
Not only is Cuphead a fantastic game, but the developers are big time fighting game fans and littered some boss fights in the original game with clear references to Street Fighter and other classic titles. It seems like the Moldenhauer brothers may have added some more fighting game references into the new expansion, and now that we've got some time in with the latest DLC here are some of the potential ones we've spotted so far. Spoilers ahead.

Fighting games as we know them have only existed for about 30 years now with hundreds of fantastic titles to potentially spend your time with, but how do you determine which is the best of the best?
Well, the masters of online listicle videos, WatchMojo, recently released their top 20 fighting games of all time, and while your initial reaction may be to scoff at some of their decisions, it's still important for us to understand the picks.
As fans of the genre likely came to realize, the Unreal Engine 4 ended up powering most of the largest fighting games of this past generation from Street Fighter 5 and Tekken 7 to Guilty Gear Strive and The King of Fighters 15.
It's looking like we may be waiting quite a while, however, to see its successor the Unreal Engine 5 begin to pick up steam for the next generation of fighters.
Update: Thanks to commenters here, we were made aware that Guilty Gear Strive and Tekken 7 do apparently run on Steam Deck now though still may have issues. We have a new article with the additional information that can be found here, and the original story follows below with some corrections.
Guilty Gear Strive is the biggest fighting game of the past year, so it makes sense that players would want to take the action wherever they go — but that's apparently going to remain just a dream for now.
Despite being featured in marketing / promotional material to showcase the system last year, the newly released Steam Deck does not support Guilty Gear Strive nor a bunch of other big fighting games from the past few years.

Microsoft's 2013 reboot of Killer Instinct wasn't the most popular fighting game, but is constantly hailed as one of the genre's most well-made entries in modern times.
From gameplay to netcode, the fact that KI so consistently receives passionate praise leads one to wonder if any developers might be willing to take another shot at it, and there are some rumors going around right now that that might be the case.
IGN recently refreshed their "top 100 video games of all time," which was last updated back in 2019. Mortal Kombat 11, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Street Fighter 2 were the only fighting games that made this version of the list.
Mortal Kombat 11 making the list is somewhat interesting as the game tends to be divisive due to its mechanics. Although there are many that enjoy the methodical pacing that Mortal Kombat 11 offers, there are also plenty of fans that preferred the "in your face" nature of Mortal Kombat X.
