Starfire to be revealed for Injustice 2 - DC All Access stream

As it was announced yesterday, Starfire is set to be revealed today for Injustice 2 during the DC All Access. This will be streamed live for everybody's viewing pleasure.

Starfire is the third character that is set to be released for Injustice 2's DLC roster out of nine. We previously had Red Hood then Sub-Zero released as the game's first two DLC characters.

Thus far, all we know about Starfire is what she looks like. We're expecting to see how she plays in this stream.

In addition to this, release details would be nice to have. Considering that Red Hood was released on June 13th while Sub-Zero was released on July 11th, it wouldn't be too surprising if Starfire were announced to be released in the early part of August.

Once Starfire is released, the remaining characters will be unknown to us. Despite this, there are plausible theories that Black Manta, Raiden (from Mortal Kombat), and the Atom based on the silhouettes are among the remaining six characters.

Starfire Injustice 2 reveal set for tomorrow at 1 p.m. PDT

Looks as though NetherRealm Studios will be taking the opportunity to reveal something Injustice 2-related at San Diego Comic-Con this year. According to a recent tweet from the game's Twitter account, a special live stream event is set to be held on DC All Access tomorrow.

Kicking off at 1 p.m. PDT / 4 p.m. EDT, the broadcast will feature NRS Creative Director Ed Boon. It's no secret what is set to be revealed as the tweet included an image of Starfire -- Injustice 2's next DLC fighter.

Starfire is a part of the game's first fighter pack, which also includes Red Hood and Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero. Both of these characters are already playable in-game, and Starfire is the last of this batch to be included.

Further confirming the time and day, a tweet from Boon reads "DC all access tomorrow." With that in mind, it is very likely that tomorrow is Starfire's day.

On top of the three DLC characters that we already know of, six more are set to join the fray. Though we don't know who they are exactly, speculation that Black Manta and Mortal Kombat's Raiden are among the bunch.

We'll have to stay glued to DC Comics' Facebook page for more information about tomorrow's reveal. Be sure to check us out here at EventHubs as we'll have the latest Injustice 2 news as soon as it is readily available.

Semiij has a perfect round against SonicFox, THEO deals massive damage in the corner, and more - Injustice 2 EVO top 8 highlights

The Injustice 2 tournament for EVO 2017 has now come to an end. There were some pretty hype moments that need to be reviewed.

We got highlights from the top eight portion of the event. This is just to give a taste of the excitement.

Our first set of highlights are focused upon FOX|SonicFox's set with CR|HoneyBee. Initially, SonicFox was playing as Red Hood while HoneyBee was using the Flash.

Throughout the whole tournament, SonicFox was able to get into top eight without losing a single match. HoneyBee was giving him a little trouble, however, considering the score was 1 - 1.

SonicFox was slightly behind HoneyBee in terms of remaining life. The gap was becoming smaller though.

HoneyBee then used his trait and went for a high risk maneuver -- an advancing low attack. His gamble paid off and allowed him to combo into his super.

Injustice 2's latest DLC fighter is now available in-game. Sub-Zero of Mortal Kombat fame enters the fray with icy punches, blasts, and weapons to defeat the opposition.

Today, players who purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Pack, or Fighter Pack #1 gain access to Sub-Zero. He will become available for standalone purchase on July 18th for $5.99.

In Injustice 2, Sub-Zero excels at defensive fighting, forcing his opponent to work their way in. He can, however, also play an aggressive style and once he corners his foe, they're in big trouble. You can check out our Sub-Zero character breakdown recap from the most recent Watchtower stream for more info on how the character plays.

Echo Fox's Theo releases Injustice 2 tier list

Echo Fox's own Theo recently put together an Injustice 2 tier list that shares who he feels are the top 10 characters in the game. The heroes and villains on this list have some... interesting names, but we were able to decipher them.

For those unfamiliar, Theo was one of, if not, the best player back in Injustice: Gods Among Us. He has since returned to reclaim the title.

His tier list includes several of the usual suspects -- Black Adam, Deadshot, etc. -- however, some of the characters' placements are up for debate, according to the replies on Twitter. Seeing Scarecrow rank above Darkseid may be surprising, but Whiteboi's recent CEO 2017 win using the Batman baddie definitely put the character on the map.

You can check out the tier list below.

Neatherrealm studios' 10 tips for using training mode and features in Injustice 2 to improve

Injustice 2 is a game that's been out for a little while now. There are certainly a number of players out there that don't know how to deal with certain moves or strategies within the game.

Apparently, players constantly ask NRS how to improve in their game. During the last Watchtower stream, they offered up some tips on how to utilize the game's training mode and other features to do just this.

While they note that this is directed mostly at players who are unfamiliar with the training modes' features, there is certainly potential for even a veteran player to learn something new here. Tips tend to get more advanced the further they go.

In total there are 10 tips given here. It's a pretty in depth look at some of the game's options.

The first tip is a pretty simple one. The ability to reset everything is available in the training mode.

Using this feature will allow you to speed up the learning process. You don't have to wait for the opponent to get up, an ability cooldown, etc.

Balance patch for Injustice 2 at the end of Fighter Pack 1, after EVO 2017; multiple mother box purchases at once and advanced gear filtering later

NRS, a company that develops fighting games, is particularly infamous among the FGC for releasing patches too quickly. Despite this, they've been noticeably passive with their balance changes this time around for Injustice 2.

During the Watchtower stream that was mostly focused on Sub-Zero, it was announced that a balance patch will be coming out at the end of Fighter Pack 1, after EVO. It seems that they have been receptive to the feedback that they have gotten in terms of how they have patched games previously.

They don't want players to have to learn what would essentially be a brand new character right before EVO. As a result, they want to get through EVO before making any adjustments.

It is noted that they intend to adjust some of the top tiers while the bottom characters will receive a few changes to bump them up to the middle. This should hopefully balance things out a little without being a knee jerk reaction.

No specific characters or changes were outlined during the stream. Most players might have an idea of which characters might be receiving at least a couple of nerfs based on tournament performances.

There was also an announcement that there will be an option to buy multiple mother boxes at once sometime in the future. In addition to this, advanced gear filtering will also be added.

Currently there isn't a definitive date on buying multiple mother boxes and advanced gear filtering features. We'll be sure to keep an eye out for further announcements regarding these additions.

Sub-Zero has a command throw, an invincible slide, and an Ice Klone bear in Injustice 2

The NetherRealm Studios crew showed off the ins and outs of Sub-Zero during their latest Injustice 2 Watchtower stream. The frosty ninja takes some heavy inspiration from his Mortal Kombat X counterpart, but adds some handy new tricks to his arsenal.

In Injustice 2, Sub-Zero is a defensive fighter who slows down the match and makes his opponents come to him. Using his Ice Ball and Ice Klone moves, he can force the opponent to take risks and capitalize with hard-hitting combos.

Though Sub-Zero excels on defense, he also has the ability to get aggressive. Players will want to steer clear of the corner when fighting against him.

To get us started, let's check out his super.

EVO 2017 brackets announced; four competitors will emerge from each 20-player Street Fighter 5 pool

Initial pools for EVO 2017 have been posted on Smash.gg, so you can now look up and find any one of the 2,622 Street Fighter 5 competitors, 1,515 Smash 4 fighters or players in the tournament's seven other featured titles.

We highly recommend you look over your competition, as EVO organizers currently have a bracket feedback feature that allows for players to request a change should they feel there's a problem with the current brackets.

This is primarily in place to help players that have been matched up with others from their local scenes, so they don't run into the same competition they have at home.

It seems there's a new format to the initial pool brackets this year for Street Fighter 5, Smash 4, Melee and Guilty Gear in that four players will be qualifying for the second round of play.

Injustice 2 celebrates the Fourth of July with a firework-filled Multiverse event

It's the Fourth of July, folks! For those of us here in the states, we'll likely be celebrating with fireworks that piss off my dog and barbecues.

However, if you're the type that would rather keep to yourself and get some gaming in, NetherRealm Studios has you covered. A special, Fourth of July-themed Multiverse event has kicked off today in Injustice 2 that puts some great rewards up for grabs.

The Independence Day challenge lets players battle through a series of different fightsthat are lit up with fireworks throughout. These spectacles in the sky aren't just for show, as each set does something different mid-match.

You'll experience firework pillars that shoot from the ground in red, white, and blue colors -- each with fire, lightning, and ice effects, respectively. You'll also come across some that explode in the air and hurt each player, heal them, give them armor, super meter, and more.

Not only will you receive credits and Mother Boxes for completing each mission, but if you clear event's three objectives, you'll score 20,000 credits, two Platinum and a Diamond Mother Box.

Below are some screenshots of the Independence Day Multiverse event. Be sure to play through and get your rewards.

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!

Poongko shatters the floor three times, Flash gets stuck on ice, while Nina... mutates? Funny and Cool moments #102

LiangHuBBB has returned with yet another of his classic Funny & Cool Moments videos. This is episode 102 of the series.

The video features its share of epic moments from Tekken 7, Street Fighter 2, Blazblue, Injustice 2, Street Fighter 5, and more. Many of these situations will have you either scratching your head or laughing at the absurdity of what just happened.

Depending on which games and communities you follow, a number of these quirky events will come off as familiar to you. Those of us who follow Injustice 2, may be familiar with Floe spending 15 seconds in the training mode with Deadshot, then winning an online match with the character.

Tekken 7 is a game that added a rather interesting feature that content creators like LiangHuBBB can really take advantage of. As a character's life becomes low, certain sequences within the game will trigger a slow motion effect.

Of course, this isn't limited to just the really awesome situations that players can pull off mid-match. It showcases its share of hilarious bugs and glitches as well.

One of my favorite sequences has to be this brutal beat down by Poongko in Tekken 7 with Akuma.

My number one favorite moment is probably the part where Nina "mutates" but I think the sound might be too important for that one. A little NSFW language is contained in the video.
