May uses normals to clash with Chipp's super in Guilty Gear Strive and she somehow wins the interaction

Guilty Gear Strive's Clash system can make for some truly hype moments. Two attacks interact and cancel each other out, with both characters very briefly freezing in place for added effect and a bit of added tension.

Despite supers being powerful attacks that typically take priority over other attacks due to their meter usage and risk for using them, it looks as though one of Chipp's isn't all that powerful on that front. A clip from Twitter user maychan__ shows a sequence where May is able to clash with the first three hits of Chipp's super using only normals, then ends up countering him before he can finish the animation leaving her at the advantage.

Guilty Gear Strive Directors want to share the joys of golden age arcade culture with modern players through the portal of powerful netcode

Having just come through 2020 and all the restrictions that put on us, the days of fighting game arcade culture seem especially far away right now. COVID-19 is far from the only or main culprit responsible for the decline of the arcade scene as home consoles and the internet have, in many ways, made the old approaches for doing things obsolete.

Those who have had the opportunity to visit and compete in a thriving local arcade know that there's a special charm that comes along with the experience, and that charm is something Guilty Gear Strive Directors Daisuke Ishiwatari and Akira Katano are hoping to capture in their brand new title. The funny thing about it? They're looking to achieve this goal through the online experience.

Guilty Gear Strive wants you playing Sol Badguy so much it'll change your character in the middle of an online match

Arc System Works set out to make their protagonist Sol Badguy feel powerful at the start of Guilty Gear Strive's life, and they've certainly succeeded in that with his unmatched ability to convert combos that do crazy amounts of damage.

'We keep considering and reconsidering characters until we're down to the very last one every time' - Guilty Gear Strive developers

Guilty Gear Strive recently launched with a base roster of 15 characters consisting of Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, May, Faust, Potemkin, Chipp Zanuff, Zato-1, Millia Rage, Axl Low, Anji Mito, I-No, Ramlethal Valentine, Leo Whitefang, Nagoriyuki and Giovanna.

In an interview with 4Gamer (which took place before Guilty Gear Strive's launch), Guilty Gear Strive Directors Daisuke Ishiwatari and Akira Katano were asked about Anji Mito's inclusion being that he hasn't been playable since Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, a game originally released back in 2012-2013. Multiple players report strange glitch that sends Ramlethal's swords flying or swinging in complete opposite direction in Guilty Gear Strive

Whenever a new game releases, there's bound to be quite a few glitches that haven't been ironed out yet, and Guilty Gear Strive is no exception to that.
