These memes parodying Arc System Works' ridiculous fighting game intros are hilariously on point from iconic Futurama lines to random billboard signs

Arc System Works is one of the premier fighting game developers in the world now, and while their licensed titles like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Granblue Fantasy: Versus are usually more tame in their round starters, the company's original titles still get pretty ridiculous with their intros.

With Guilty Gear and BlazBlue battle start sequences continuing to sound like soliloquies with a questionable use of the English language, fans started creating their own parodies with random generators, clips from other shows / video games or even strange examples taken from real life which are pretty hilarious and on point.

If you were to ask around the fighting game community you'd likely find that a surprising percentage of us have played more than our fair share of games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, and that's because there's a good bit of overlap in the rhythm department when it comes to fighters and titles like those.

Safe for work Mai, not as safe for work Mai, Wii-Fit Mai, Hsien-Ko Jam, and other fighting game beauties feature in this wonderful gallery from Phamoz

Along with the likes of Cammy, Morrigan, and Chun-Li, King of Fighters' Mai Shiranui is one of the most commonly drawn fighting game characters in the business. Though she's the most prevalent, Mai by far isn't the only character represented in our roundup as figures from Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and even Skullgirls strut their stuff as well.
