Shortly after the release of Guilty Gear Strive this summer, players became concerned about the amount of input lag found in the game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 compared to its PC counterpart, which led to Arc System Works attempting to reduce the latency on console in the most recent update.

Many were initially skeptical that the adjustment wouldn't make much of an impact for Strive players, but now that there's been some time to put the lag reduction to the test, the results are honestly quite impressive — for PlayStation 4 Pro users at the very least.

Many players who've been active in fighting games for a long while will likely fondly remember Abdullatif "Latif" Alhmili's storied Evo 2011 run where he managed to eliminate the likes of Rohto|Tokido, EF|Poongko and BST|Daigo Umehara in Street Fighter 4, but the former C. Viper main had been away from the scene for quite some time.

After retiring from the competitive fighting game community back in 2015, Latif made the official announcement that he's back in action with a special message to his compatriots and fans.

Update: Guilty Gear Strive's second DLC character in Jack-O officially released earlier today for Season Pass 1 owners alongside the new balance patch. You can find out more about the new fighter and update in the original story below.

Jack-O is slated to join the cast of Guilty Gear Strive tomorrow, August 27th, for all players who have purchased the game's Season Pass (those who plan to purchase her a la cart will need to wait until August 30).

This time around, Jack-O's battle plan is heavily based around her Servant summons as she can manifest up to three small robot Servants to help her out in the fight. Jack-O challenge memes are taking fighting game social media by storm... and probably sending people to the chiropractor

For the better part of the last week, fighting game social media has been peppered with photos and illustrations of people and characters trying to pull off what's called the #Jack-OChallenge.

This is all inspired by Guilty Gear Strive's newest DLC character, Jack-O, who has an especially unique crouching animation as she essentially leans forward in a half splits with her chin to the ground and her derriere in the air. We figured this might be a one or two day fling kind of thing, but it seems it's still going strong and so we've rounded up a few of our favorites... mostly on the safe for work side.
