The most popular Street Fighter 6 character picks from CEOtaku and Capcom Pro Tour Brazil

The tournament season for Street Fighter 6 has been up and running for a few months now, which has gotten to the point of giving fans sometimes multiple majors in the same week.

We got pretty lucky with that again this weekend with hundreds of players signed up to compete at CEOtaku 2023 and the Capcom Pro Tour Brazil events, and we've gone back now through the brackets to see which characters were showing up the most.

The first thing that stands out is of course that JP was the most popular pick across both tournaments though that doesn't tell the whole story.

Four out of 5 of Brazil's competitors actually made it to the top 16, but none made top 8 while only one JP made it to the top 8 at CEOtaku.

It's a bit wild to see seven additional psycho powered users added to the mix when you bump CEOtaku up from top 32 to top 64, which means that nearly 20% of the players in the upper bracket were hitting the stage with JP down in Florida.

Marisa and E. Honda also had a notable jump up when expanding the results, but that may point more towards their potential difficulty to get consistent results in higher powered environments where people are more likely to be better versed in the match ups.

Outside of JP, however, it is interesting to note how there isn't much overlap between who was popular between Brazil and Orlando.

Juri almost matched JP in top 32 at CEOtaku, yet only a couple players used her as a secondary at CPT.

We did see multiple Dee Jays, Cammys, Lukes, Ryus and Kens show up for both though while one grand finals put forth Guile vs. Cammy, the other gave us Dee Jay vs. Manon.
