Gotta work on that stability

Mortal Kombat 1 just hit early access a few days ago, but it looks like the developers want to do a few more tweaks on the game ahead of its full release.

NetherRealm Studios announced today that they'll be taking down MK1's online servers for a bit tomorrow, September 17.

According to their post, the game will be switching into "Maintenance Mode" starting at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT where servers are scheduled to be down for approximately two hours.

We presume that Maintenance Mode means that players won't be able to access online matches at least, but the day 1 patch maintenance also appeared to prevent unlocks that can be acquired through single-player modes like Invasion too.

As for what's getting fixed / changing, they don't really confirm much beyond "a few stability fixes," but the devs did offer a few suggestions to hopefully help some of the PC issues players have been experiencing.

For those who've ran into stuttering during Story Mode scenes, NRS suggests making sure your GPU drivers are fully updated and your monitor is set to 60hz since MK1 doesn't support higher refresh rates.

They've also pointed to audio issues and desyncs for other players in Story as well, which they suggest restarting your game as a temporary fix as the team works on a permanent solution.
