Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack characters leaked on Amazon, returning favorites and superheros apparently inbound
It doesn't seem it took very long for additional Mortal Kombat 1 information to leak out as the product listing for Amazon Italy appears to have shared the characters included in the game's first batch of DLC.
Kombat Pack 1 will apparently contain six playable characters along with five Kameo characters (fighters that assist main combatants during battle). Some of these figures are returning Mortal Kombat characters while others will guest star from outside the world of MK, and it looks like this time the theme is superheroes.
The returning fighters are listed as Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda while the guests are DC's Peacemaker, The Boys' Homelander, and Invincible's Omni-Man.
The Kameo fighters include the likes of Tremor, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, and Ferra (apparently one half of the Ferra/Torr duo from Mortal Kombat X).

All three of these guests hail from R-rated superhero properties, making them more or less perfect for the violent and gory world of Mortal Kombat.
Both Homelander and Omni-Man are essentially the equivalent of evil Superman, boasting flight, heat vision, incredible strength and speed, and terrifying mental complexes that make them unstable and ready to kill at a moment's notice.
Peacemaker is human with maxed out stats (he works out and practices wielding weapons a lot) but is augmented by his various helmets that offer abilities through scientific breakthroughs.
Both Peacemaker and Homelander are currently most recognizable for their live action portrayals via John Cena and Antony Starr, respectively, and one has to wonder whether these actors' likeness will be featured in MK1, or if we'll be getting more generic versions of the characters.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to release on September 19, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
