Atherisch dons skimpy outfits to cosplay as Cammy from Street Fighter, Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury and Mileena from Mortal Kombat

We recently caught wind of Atherisch's Instagram page. Atherisch appears to be a cosplayer based in Chile. Notably, she's cosplayed a number of our favorite female fighting game characters throughout her cosplaying career.

Evidently, she was bold enough to even cosplay as Cammy White from the Street Fighter series. It's certainly worth noting that this version of Cammy is based on how the character appeared in Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 5 rather than her older appearance in Street Fighter 6.

Cammy White actually made her debut appearance in Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers (released 1993 in the arcades) alongside the likes of T. Hawk, Fei Long and Dee Jay. Of these four characters, Cammy tends to return the most often as she has become a fan favorite and staple within the Street Fighter series.

During the events of Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers, Cammy was described as being a "19-year-old female special forces agent from England" who had ties to M. Bison. Based on this, it's theorized that Cammy is 48 years old in Street Fighter 6.

Though the differences are actually quite subtle, Atherisch has cosplayed as different depictions of Cammy. In the shots where Atherisch has green camouflaged paint on her legs, she is technically depicting Cammy based on how she appeared in Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4.

On the other hand, Cammy without the green camouflaged paint is meant to represent Cammy from Street Fighter 5. A gun holster strap that's wrapped around Cammy's leg can also be observed which is something that's also part of Cammy's default look in Street Fighter 5.

It seems that Atherisch has also taken it upon herself to cosplay as Mai Shiranui from the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series. Though Mai has become one of the most popular characters from the King of Fighters series, she actually made her debut appearance in Fatal Fury 2 (released in the arcades in 1992).

Unfortunately, Mai Shiranui is completely absent from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate despite Terry Bogard being added as a DLC character. Though many iconic characters from the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series are referenced, the developers were unable to include Mai Shiranui due to her attire.

"By the way, you may have noticed that a very important character from the Fatal Fury series was not included," stated Masahiro Sakurai regarding the matter. "Yes, Mai Shiranui. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is for good boys and girls of many different ages, so we decided not to feature her. Please forgive us."

Regardless, Atherisch's depiction of Mai Shiranui can be seen below:

Mileena made her debut appearance in Mortal Kombat 2 (released in the arcades in 1993). She looks similar to Kitana, but that is because she is literally a clone of Kitana created by Shang Tsung in the Flesh Pits.

Instead of wielding fan blades like Kitana, Mileena instead chooses to wield the sai blades. In her first appearance, Mileena made quite the impact as it's believed from a competitive standpoint that Mileena is the absolute strongest fighter in Mortal Kombat 2.

It seems that even NetherRealm Studios underestimated Mileena's popularity as there was a massive outcry from the community at her absence from Mortal Kombat 11. Luckily, however, she, along with Rain and Rambo, were added as the final DLC characters in Mortal Kombat 11.

Unfortunately, Mileena is often regarded as one of the worst combatants in Mortal Kombat 11, so she isn't often seen at tournament events.
