Street Fighter 6 crossover customizations revealed for Exoprimal, robot Ryu and Guile skins shown
Capcom has revealed that its latest major fighting game, Street Fighter 6, is seeing a crossover with its futuristic, dinosaur, online team-based action game, Exoprimal. During the Summer Game Fest 2023 presentation, the company announced that Street Fighter 6-themed skins would be coming to Exoprimal.
In the trailer, we see a similar teaser to the initial Street Fighter 6 reveal trailer that featured close up shots of Ryu. Instead of being his regular, human self, though, the classic Shoto can be seen in full robot form.
"The Exoprimal x Street Fighter 6 collaboration transforms Ryu and Guile into Exosuit skins players can equip when hitting the streets of Bikitoa Island," explains the press release. "Keep on alert for future announcements on a combo of other Street Fighter™-themed cosmetic items Exofighters can take into the wargames this autumn. More crossovers between Exoprimal other Capcom titles are also in the works, so stay tuned!"
As noted in the trailer, Ryu and Guile will be joining Exoprimal as skins sometime this fall. The game itself is set to drop next month, hitting Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam on July 14.
On top of using futuristic firearms, it looks as though the Ryu skin will allow you to fire Hadokens at dinosaurs and humanoid opponents alike. We don't quite get to see if the Guile skin grants any special abilities, but there's a good chance it will allow you to shoot Sonic Booms or deliver powerful Flash Kicks (though we don't know for certain yet).
Exoprimal is an online, team-based action game that sees humanity fighting for survival against dinosaurs using their futuristic Exosuit technology. Set in the year 2040, players are thrown into wargames created by an advanced A.I. that see various scenarios play out.
In the Dino Survival game mode, teams of five Exofighters compete to complete objectives as fast as they can while fighting hordes of vicious dinosaurs. Players can swap between different Exosuits at any time to change up their tactics and strategies.
Street Fighter 6 just saw its major launch last week, and it was welcomed with rave reviews. On top of the 18 characters we have here at launch, four DLC fighters — Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, and Akuma — have already been announced and will be launching over the next year or so.
