Someone already got a VR mod working in Street Fighter 6 after just a few days

It's like Honda's flying right at me...

Street Fighter 6 is currently the hottest ticket in the town of video games at the moment, which is lovely to see, but what if you want to get even closer to the action going down in front of you.

Well, it only took someone a few days to release a working virtual reality mod for Street Fighter 6 to do just that.

Modder Praydog just recently updated their REFramework tool on PC to include support for SF6, which adds in VR functionality to the fighting game plus some more options.

This isn't a first-person VR mod or anything, so you're not actually going to be in the point of view of your fighter.

Instead, the VR functions like the in-game camera, allowing players in headsets to spectate matches in front of their eyeballs similarly to Tekken 7's official VR support.

Thanks to Flat2VR, we can see what the modded tools look like in action, and it's cool to see the stages in a full 3D perspective like this though the VR camera still follows the normal in-game one — so it's constantly moving and changing positions.

This mod works not just with Street Fighter 6, but basically every Capcom game on Steam that uses the RE Engine like Devil May Cry 5, Monster Hunter World and the recent Resident Evil titles.

There's more features that could prove quite useful to those without a VR headset, as the mod tool also brings in free camera, FOV slider, vignette disabler, ultrawide support and more features.

You can find more information about the REFramework mod on Praydog's github page.
