How to get alternate costumes and outfits in Street Fighter 6

Is Street Fighter 6 the most beautiful Street Fighter game to date? We could pretty rapidly get into the weeds comparing the gorgeous sprite work of Street Fighter 3, so maybe we let bygones be bygones and just agree that the new more realistic graphics churned out by the RE Engine look absolutely gorgeous.

We've gotten to know the majority of the 18-character launch roster in their standard attire, but Capcom has released high quality screen shots of the group in their alternate outfits as well. We've rounded a gallery up for you to appreciate, and you can learn how to unlock them below.

How to obtain secondary outfits

The fast way to get your hands on these alternate looks is to fork over some real cash to purchase Fighter Coins, which you can then spend in the in-game shop. Access said shop either via the start menu or by walking up to the shop counter in Battle Hub. There's a "costumes" tab where you can spend 50 coins per costume, and the smallest FC package you can buy is the 250 for $4.99.

There is a free means of getting these costumes, however, but it'll take some time. If you play through the game's World Tour single player mode, you can encounter each and every roster member at certain points in your progress (video guide embedded at the bottom of this article).

You develop a "bond" with each of these characters, and can strengthen it by offering gifts and completing missions for them. Once you reach a level 100 bond with any given fighter, you'll be gifted their alternate costume.

Eleven of the returning characters (Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Dee Jay, E. Honda, Blanka, Zangief, Dhalsim, Juri, Cammy, and Guile) all get nostalgic looks as they put on older garbs.

These outfits may be relatively simpler than the more elaborate ones we've seen more often, but many of them are still stunning as we get some blast from the past action as we're effectively seeing Street Fighter 2 done up with modern technology.

One of the newcomers, Marisa, really changes things up with her alternate look, which may be familiar to those who've played Street Fighter 3 or 5 as this look is a nod to Urien's pinstripe suit.
