19 hits with Ryu? These are the coolest Street Fighter 6 combos you'll see today
Combo potential in Street Fighter 6 is already exciting as the Drive System offers players tons of various routes. If you simply want to do the most damage, you can, but maybe spending a little extra meter will put you in an especially advantageous follow up situation, or maybe your primary goal is to sap your foe's Drive Gauge.
Further still, maybe your primary goal is to come up with the coolest, most stylish beat downs possible without caring about spending all of your resources to do so. That's exactly what Desk did in his latest SF6 combo video, featuring franchise poster boy: Ryu.
The showcase plays for nearly four minutes, and during that time we see a bunch of sequences we hardly thought were possible. Desk uses Drive Rush to extend and juggle like a madman, but takes things to a whole new level by manipulating positioning.
For instance, starting combo with a Drive Impact punish or while an opponent is in midair can lead to otherwise impossible follow ups. One sequence near the middle utilizes both of these as Desk lands an anti-air Drive Impact punish on Ken.
This kind of scenario would be rarely seen in standard play, but the combo creator has a particular knack for thinking around corners, imagining these kinds of situations, and then bringing them to life for the rest of us.
Ryu proceeds to a whopping seven juggle hits on his high flying foe thereafter. This carries Ken all the way to the corner from the middle of the stage, and winds up being nine total hits.
The combo right after, however, is even crazier as Desk performs more such juggling but also lands two Supers in one go.
The star of the show has to be the finale in which Ryu scores no fewer than 19 hits on Marisa. We'll let Desk show you how it all goes down in the full video below, and would love to hear your thoughts on this Street Fighter art display in the comments after you watch.
