It's currently impossible to earn Street Fighter 6's platinum trophy or all achievements
Street Fighter 6 is a pretty great game overall, but that doesn't mean it's without issues though this one is a bit unexpected.
It's apparently currently impossible to earn the platinum trophy for SF6 on PlayStation or all of the achievements on Xbox or Steam.
That's because the game includes three trophies / achievements tied to the Battle Hub Tournaments, but the problem is there just isn't any going on at all.
If you go and look in game or at the calendar, there are no tournaments scheduled to take place seemingly for the rest of July, and we don't know what's planned beyond that.
There's a trophy for entering a tournament, one for entering five tournaments and one for winning 10 tournaments, which is probably going to be one of if not the hardest achievement to obtain in the game.
Though it obviously doesn't account for everybody, PSN Profiles shows that no one on the site has managed to get the trophy for entering five tournaments yet of course, so no one has gotten the platinum trophy for SF6 either.
This is a problem that should essentially solve itself at some point when tournaments start back up, but there's been no word as to when that is going to be — probably not until at least August.
Other fighting games like Mortal Kombat 11 have similar achievements tied to challenges that aren't always available, so this is far from new for the genre though it is still annoying for those who go out of their way to collect them all.
Aside from the tournament inclusions, SF6's trophy / achievement list seems pretty simple and straight forward (aside from maybe the 600 Nice ratings), especially since there is none for reaching certain ranked requirements.
This is a pretty minor (and temporary) issue that not all players are going to be impacted by, but it is still just interesting to see going on so soon after launch.
Next month, we're also going to be seeing the largest Street Fighter tournament bracket ever at least since over 7,000 people signed up to compete in SF6 at Evo 2023.
