Major Upset 2023 results

Since Super Smash Bros. isn't part of Evo Japan this year, the Super Smash Bros. community has another major event happening this weekend. With over 1,000 entrants registered for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate singles, Super Smash Bros. Melee singles, Rivals of Aether singles, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate doubles, Super Smash Bros. Melee doubles, Rivals of Aethers doubles, and a "Ganon Gauntlet" side event for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Major Upset 2023 is certainly an event that Smash fans will want to pay attention to this weekend.
Although the organizers behind Major Upset 2023 had to recently update the brackets due to some last minute disqualifications, confirmed players for the event include LG|MkLeo, LG|Maister, KC|Kurama, Liquid|Riddles, 26R|Esam, aMSa, SS|Zomba, AITX|Dark Wizzy, 26R|Cosmos, Moist|Aaron, CLG|Cody, Liquid|Hungrybox, Tempo|Axe, Zain, Veggies|SFAT, and many more.
There's a $7,500 prize pool for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate singles event. Of course, the competition is expected to be fierce as there are 512 entrants registered to compete.
Meanwhile, there's a $4,500 prize pool set aside for Super Smash Bros. Melee singles. 384 players have registered to compete at this event over the weekend.
This is a two-day event that's taking place on April 1, 2023 and April 2, 2023. Streaming is being handled by btssmash on Twitch.
