Street Fighter 6 closed beta test announced for next month
More exciting news coming from Tokyo Game Show 2022 this morning as Capcom has officially announced a Street Fighter 6 closed beta test. A quick trailer was shown during their presentation this morning that shares a handful of important details about the upcoming test.
Those who are hoping to get their hands on Street Fighter 6 will have the opportunity to do so next month, though a closed beta means only select players will get in. The Street Fighter 6 closed beta test is slated to run from October 7 through October 10.
The test will be conducted on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as Steam. Even more impressive is the fact that there will be crossplay across all platforms for the beta.
SF6's beta will come packed with a surprising amount of accessible modes as well. Ranked Match, Casual Match, Battle Hub Match, Open Tournament, Extreme Battle, Game Center, and Training Mode are all set to be featured in the test.
There will be eight different characters to choose from in the beta, and in the trailer we see a very quick flash of an image listing who will be available to play. Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, Jamie, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, and Ken will make up the beta roster.
Sign ups are currently open on the Street Fighter 6 closed beta test website.
The sign up form will ask you to register a Capcom ID, and once you do, you should get a verification email. Once verified, you can log in and fill out a few more sections of information including a Capcom ID nickname (which is likely what will show up in-game for you when Street Fighter 6 launches).
After this is done, you'll choose your preferred platform and agree to a couple of terms of service. Getting through all that will officially sign you up for the closed beta test.
It's worth noting that the website is definitely experiencing a ton of traffic at the time of writing this, so you will likely get several error messages during the sign up process. Just keep going back and refreshing, and you should be able to make it through the process.
