Super Smash Bros. player reenacts Frieza's destruction of Krillin from Dragon Ball both in the game and real life
But not quite as planned
The big stage at fighting game tournaments is where business gets serious, but that doesn't mean you can't have a little fun for the people watching at home.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player PHNM|Peabnut recently performed a blink-and-you-miss-it reenactment of the iconic Dragon Ball Z scene where Frieza blows up Krillin in front of Goku — although it doesn't quite end quite as perfectly.
The opposing R.O.B. competitor, SSG|Zomba, got hit by Mega Man's bomb before leaving himself wide open for a big up Smash from the blue bomber.
Immediately realizing this opportunity, Peabnut held out his hand and crushed it like it was a tiny bald earthling, but just for less than a second, which we probably wouldn't have noticed at the time.
Luckily for all of us, PHNM|Wormadad went back and edited it together with the real DBZ footage and slowed it down to confirm that's what was happening.

The exchange would have an immediately happier ending though than it did for Krillin.
R.O.B. flew to the top of the screen with over 104% damage before the bomb exploded, but it surprisingly wasn't enough to push him to the blast zone.
Perhaps this is a sign they should have buffed Mega Man's explosive one last time if for nothing else than to make this moment complete.
