Street Fighter 6 teams up with Persona 5 graphic designer LAM for Chun-Li, Juri and Kimberly merch but good luck getting them

The Street Fighter 5 brand has appeared on almost every type of merchandise imaginable for the past 7 years, but it looks like it's about time to move forward to the next big thing.

Capcom just announced some of the first (or perhaps the first official) Street Fighter 6 merchandise by teaming up with the popular illustrator and former Atlus graphic designer LAM, but good luck getting your hands on them — literally.

For this promotion, LAM has designed his own take of SF6's Chun-Li, Juri, and newcomer Kimberly with the artwork featured on a handful of different items.

That includes a tapestry, t-shirt, smartphone pockets, and individual acrylic stands of the first ladies in the next generation of world warriors.

But here's the bad news.

This Street Fighter 6 merchandise is only going to be available Capcom's Net Catcher Captore, which is a digital claw machine service.

So basically, people spend money to (hopefully) pull a prize that Capcom will then ship to your home, but Captore is currently limited to those living in Japan.

That means on top of being in Japan, users will also be at the luck of the draw for which prize they ultimately get.

LAM's Street Fighter 6 promotion is scheduled to run from December 2–15, 2022 with prizes shipping out starting in March 2023.

More information about the collaboration can be found on the Capcom Net Catcher website.

There will probably be ways to acquire these items through third-party means although there's likely little reason to worry about a lack of SF6 merch in the not too distant future.
