New footage of Street Fighter 6's classic costumes for Ryu and Chun-Li, Ken's seemingly revealed via Game Informer
Street Fighter 6 has introduced quite a time skip since the events of Street Fighter 5 and Street Fighter 3: Third Strike. This is evident by the change in appearances for classic World Warriors such as Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li.
Earlier today, a video released by Game Informer revealed what everyone already suspected: classic costumes will be returning in Street Fighter 6. In a brief clip, Ryu and Chun-Li's classic appearances were shown in the video.
Ryu is once again seen with a face shaved of facial hair in with this appearance. Additionally, he's wearing his classic karate gi and headband as he gets pummeled by Chun-Li's level 3 super.
Chun-Li's classic costume has her donning her appearance that first debuted in Street Fighter 2. She's seen wearing her modified "qipao" (a Chinese dress), boots, brown stockings, spiked bracelets, and her iconic "ox-horn" hairstyle.
Game Informer in an exclusive Street Fighter 6 article may have also revealed Ken's classic appearance. Those that don't like seeing Ken in his meme-tastic "hobo" default costume will be able to have Ken once again don his red karate gi.
While Ken's default appearance in Street Fighter 6 has a karate belt tied to his arm, the belt is back on his waist with this costume. Ken is also wearing his sparring gloves with this classic costume.
It's also nice to see that Ken's face and hair are looking far more polished compared to how they did in Street Fighter 5. Still, the second image of classic Ken on Game Informer's site looks abnormal.
Evidently, Game Informer has exclusive coverage of Street Fighter 6, so it's not unreasonable to believe that this is Ken's classic appearance for the upcoming Capcom fighting game. Check it all out below:
