Can you guess how many top 48 players DIDN'T use Lab Coat Android 21 in their team at Combo Breaker for Dragon Ball FighterZ?

Lab Coat Android 21 could have been banned from competition at Combo Breaker 2022 this weekend, but since she'll probably be getting nerfed in the near future, they're letting her rock — and rocking the dragon she most definitely is.

Now that the Dragon Ball FighterZ action has concluded for the day, we've gathered the full top 48 character usage for the game at Combo Breaker, so can you guess how many of them didn't pick Lab Coat 21 on their teams?

After running amok in the competitive scene for a few months now, it should come as no surprise that Lab Coat 21 is the most popular fighter among players at the big event, but how much she is dominating is still pretty staggering to see when broken down.

Out of those top 48 players, we counted 33 of them slotting in DBFZ's latest DLC character, which is almost more than 2nd, 3rd and 4th place for popularity combined — so that's 14 or 15 who didn't use her for those looking for an answer.

That equals around 70% of the best players from North America and Europe maining Lab Coat, and we can't remember seeing a number that high for a team fighter probably ever.

If that doesn't equate to a tier 0 fighting game character now, I'm not sure what would at this point.

As we've covered before, Lab Coat 21 basically changes the rules of engagement on a fundamental level in DBFZ with her easy ability to nerf her opponent's damage, and that's on top of being a top tier strong character without needing to use the command grab.

Even if we removed Lab Coat from the equation, Vegito, Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta and standard Android 21's numbers would assuredly be higher although it's hard to imagine them coming close to reaching 30+ picks in upper bracket play.

Funnily enough, however, there is still quite a good bit of diversity at Combo Breaker with at least 35 different characters seeing main play in the top 48. It's just that Lab Coat 21 takes up 1/3 of the slots on almost all of their teams.

That does show signs that FighterZ could end up in a nice place in terms of balance if the new kid on the block and the fusions get nerfed in the upcoming update to the game, so there's still definitely hope to see things improve.

We'll see how things shake out during finals day, but we'll be seeing a lot of Lab Coats flying around considering only 1 player in the top 8 doesn't currently have her on their team.
