With Game Pass finding success by making subscriptions more appetizing for players in the Xbox ecosystem, There have been a ton of eyes on PlayStation to see what they'd be doing to compete, and now we finally got a picture of what's coming.

Sony recently released the list of titles that will be included in the overhaul of their PlayStation Plus subscription service, and there will be a handful of new and classic fighting games for players to get their hands on.

As was previously announced, the service is merging with PlayStation Now to create 3 tiers between PS+ Essential, Extra and Premium.

Every tier will have access to the regular monthly game additions to PS+ while Extra and Premium members can play a selection of PS4 and PS5 titles.

Only Premium subscribers are going to gain access to the Classic Game Catalog that features a bunch of PS1, PSP and PS3 games.

The list of titles revealed thus far coming to the service is a bit light on fighters with the only PS4 and PS5 titles being Mortal Kombat 11 and Soul Calibur 6.

Meanwhile, Tekken 2 is the only fighting game listed in the classic category, but Sony did announce that players who had previously purchased PlayStation Classic titles will not need Premium or pay for the game again to download them on PS4 or PS5.

There are a bunch of titles that are currently included with PS Now that aren't mentioned with fighters like Tekken 7, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike - Online Edition, Divekick, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, Mortal Kombat 2011, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, Brawlout, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, The King of Fighters 13, BlazBlue: Central Fiction and Skullgirls Encore.

It's still unclear if those games will be disappearing once the merger occurs or if they plan to add most of them back on over time.

Sony did claim, however, that the all-new PS+ would launch with over 700 games available, so there is still a decent chance that some or most of those fighters listed above will end up being there too.

PS+ Essential will cost $10 per month / $60 per year while Extra is priced at $15 per month / $100 per year and Premium will be $18 per month / $120 per year.

Asian markets are scheduled to be the first to gain access to the new PS+ next week on May 24 followed by Japan on June 1, the Americas on June 13 and Europe, Australia and New Zealand on June 22.
