Crossplay and 4 new characters are coming to Guilty Gear Strive for Season 2, story expansion launches in April
There's a lot more on the horizon for the game's second year
With Testament soon closing out the first season of DLC for Guilty Gear Strive, that'll bring an end to year 1 of Arc System Works' smash hit of a fighting game, and there's much more coming.
The developers also announced that cross-platform play will soon be coming to Guilty Gear Strive as well as 4 more characters in Season 2.
At the same time, ArcSys confirmed Strive's first story expansion is scheduled to release in late April and will focus on the characters who didn't appear in the main story mode like May, Faust and Ramlethal. The new feature will be titled 'Another Story.'
GGST Season Pass 1 additional content "Another Story" will be delivered in late April!

Crossplay was something the developers said they were looking into after Strive launched last year, and it looks like they actually made the giant fan request a reality by including online play between the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC versions all together.
No release window was given as for when players should expect Season 2 to drop, but it's currently in development and will also come with new stages, additional colors and a new track composed by series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari.
For those wondering about a balance update, yes, they confirmed "extensive balance tuning" is coming to Strive with Season 2 too.
