Sin Kiske's brand new Guilty Gear Strive mod looks good enough to be official DLC

This could be big

The Guilty Gear Strive has been pretty active since the game launched last year, but they've pretty much all focused on cosmetic skins and shortening login times up to this point.

Things appear to have taken a dramatic and exciting leap forward now, however, with WistfulHopes just dropping Strive's first big character mod in Sin Kiske, and he looks so good that he could practically be official DLC.

This impressive mod was achieved by WistfulHopes by painstakingly porting over Sin's character model, animations and effects from Guilty Gear Xrd into Strive's engine.

She also then went through the extra trouble then of making it all look and feel right at home in the newest Guilty Gear, and even went so far as to give him an appropriate reaction face to Faust's Overdrive (that's a different expression than REV 2's). He still has his hunger meter as well.

Sin has a bit of a design update to boot too with his coat being much shorter now and colored black by default.

This is much more than just a skin mod, as the creator states Sin has his own dedicated character slot, so he doesn't replace anyone else and can be used online against others with the mod (although they highly recommend not trying to take him into an open park or tower lobby lest you be potentially banned).

With this framework now in place, it seemingly opens the floodgates to any other Xrd character not currently in Strive being modded in the future or even Xrd versions of the existing cast.

Things seem like they're going to get pretty exciting in this avenue over the next few months and beyond.

You can find more information about the Sin mod on WistfulHopes' GameBanana page, and check out a fan made trailer of Ky's son in action thanks to Hero.
