Dead Apostle Noel, Aoko Aozaki, Powered Ciel and Mario Gallo Bestino have been added to Melty Blood: Type Lumina as DLC fighters over the course of about four months. A new DLC roadmap has since been revealed for the game.

DLC playable character 5, playable character 6, playable character 7 and playable character 8 are now slated to release from this summer until this winter. No information about the identities of these four DLC characters has been provided.

Additionally, it's been promised that there will be free updates that will provide expanded functions, adjustments to the balance, bug fixes and more. This is a typical thing that happens alongside DLC for a fighting game.

When Melty Blood: Type Lumina was first released, there were a total of 13 playable characters that made up the initial roster, including Saber from Fate/Stay Night. The addition of Dead Apostle Noel, Aoko Aozaki, Powered Ciel and Mario Gallo Bestino expanded the roster to 17 playable characters.

With this new roadmap in mind, this means that Melty Blood: Type Lumina will feature a roster of 21 different fighters by this winter. According to the official Melty Blood: Type Lumina Twitter account, two of these DLC characters will be released this summer while the other two will be released in the winter.
