Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Shermie and Orochi Chris of Team Awakened Orochi announced as King of Fighters 15 DLC
Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Shermie and Orochi Chris have all been announced as upcoming DLC for King of Fighters 15. Together, the three form a team known as "Team Awakened Orochi."
A new trailer that showcases what the three are able to do in King of Fighters 15 has been released. According to the trailer, Team Awakened Orochi are slated to be released in August 2022.
Oddly, no gameplay for Team Awakened Orochi was shown in King of Fighters 15 after they were revealed. Instead, the rest of the trailer then focuses on the features for The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match Final Edition.
Though Team Awakened Orochi might appear to just be a palette swap of Team Orochi, the play styles and personalities of the three characters have traditionally changed after undergoing this transformation.
As an example, Shermie typically plays like a grappler in King of Fighters, but will instead adopt a zoning play style that utilizes electric attacks once she becomes Orochi Shermie. Additionally, her personality becomes significantly more sadistic when she's like this.
